quick google gave me this: The label on the package was changed. The bulbs shown are for 2AA or 2AAA flashlights. Rayovac doesn't make "high intensity heater lights" Its BS sorry guys... you are just not going to get enough heat/efficiency @ 5v-500ma unless you have a VERY well insulated c...

you'd want to run them in series then if thats the true rating then 2.5+2.5=5v @0.3A or 300ma which is perfectly doable on a use port, but i still cant belive a) that, that is there true rating and b) they get hot enough....

BS till i see it really happen...

Wat should work is to take make up two sets of parallel resistors and put them in series. This will reduce the current by splitting it across two branches. But keep your resistance the same :) or you could just buy the correct wattage resistor as Rob said ;) lol true that should work as long as all...

Dude nice mod well done! BTW, putting a resistor in series will double the resistance.. (R s =R 1 +R 2 etc...) So you will be running your leds at half their rated power... I suggest you use this http://led.linear1.org/led.wiz To work out your resistor values... For example if you have 3 red LED's w...

Question...won't it help to heat up the stressed article? Obviously one would not want the thing to deform...but will it help in order to make it less fragile? Nice work DoOb. mmm i dont think you would get it hot enough without it deforming, (low melting point) mebbe if you had a former for the sh...

Then again, you get people who are too lazy to go out and put all of this together. Also, at the same time, you get people who don't actually give a damn about things like this, and just want to walk into a shop, pay cash, and walk out with a working product that has literally no risk of not workin...
