Re: Dragon Age
Yeah - I can agree with that to a certain extent. The specialization doesn't actually make as much of an impact as you'd hope for - I mean, in NWN it was a SERIOUS decision and could easily change your approach completely. And the skills suck... agreed. I mean, the only useful ones in there are Comb...

Re: Local Steam content server coming to WebAfrica!
All of a sudden my life just got a whole lot better. First 8 Meg lines, and now the local steam content server. I can't wait to start saving money on their crazy weekend-specials now. @Dae - I think that'll work better. Shot for the suggestion. EDIT: It looks like WA prepaid local accounts use &quo...

Re: Dragon Age
honestly, i much prefer NWN/2 to this.... the cinematic part is great but there's just so much missing from the mechanics... :| and item sets.... NWN 1, quite possibly. NWN2 still runs like crap on my rig, and just didn't have that "magic". Have you played Baldur's Gate? DA:O is much more...

Opera Mini isn't as useful as the main browser however (not to mention constantly having to push "menu"),
but if you're trying to save bandwidth - it's awesome.

Damn near the best Twitter app I've ever used.

Re: Arkham asylum 2!
All good things must come to an end. Why oh why did they have to make a sequel to one of the best games this year? Because games like Uncharted 2 and Killzone 2 and Gears of War 2 and Left 4 Dead 2 and Battlefield 2, etc. all proved that sequels can indeed be better. I'm hoping AA 2 is better as we...

Re: What game are you currently playing?
Grabbed the "Warden's Keep" DLC for Dragon Age: Origins
and busy playing that with my Elf Rogue (2nd playthrough).
DLC is very smartly integrated into DA:O...and Shale is the most surprising character too.

Meebo is superior however.

Re: Dragon Age
@Interfan, already done that for ME - just for that reason! I agree with you regarding The Witcher, DA:O even uses music that seems *inspired* by The Witcher - it sounds really similar, and that's a good thing. I think The Witcher still has some moments that are better than the best in Dragon Age th...

That's incredible!
Apparently something similar was done at Trafalgar Square while it was full of people, but now that it's local - it's AWESOME.

Re: What NOT to buy for Christmas Gifts
Agreed.
Some people say that giving money is a lazy man's form of an Xmas present - at least make the effort to go buy a Gift Card.
I disagree. Giving people money isn't lazy, it's damn smart. It never expires, can be spent anywhere and smells good.

Re: Local Steam content server coming to WebAfrica!
That's great news that we're getting a local content server!!!
Unfortunately a lot of us are with ISPs that rate both international and local bandwidth as the same thing (like Axxess), although nothing's stopping me from opening up a local-cap account with them.

Re: Dragon Age
Just finished it today. Jumped straight back in as an Elf Rogue. One of the most epic endings ever, although your decisions don't seem to have *that* much of an impact as it seemed to have in The Witcher and Mass Effect. Maybe the second playthrough will prove me wrong. Either way, spent nearly 50 h...

Dragon Age: Origins
Borderlands
and funnily enough, Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion after a few mods got me interested in it again.

I've been playing DA:O for the last 3 days now, after finally getting around to buying it I'm addicted. One of my favourite RPGs I've played in a long time. Although anyone else notice that some music was re-used from Mass Effect? and the music seems very much inspired by The Witcher - which is a go...

Re: Opera Unite - the web is dead to me
I was about to post how much I absolutely love Opera 10.10 that was released today. I find it a lekker jump from the previous version (in terms of features, etc.) I actually think Unite is pretty useful --> I mean, it allows me to stream my music from home to school, gives me something similar to Dr...
