Ok my first post I said with my 9800gt the pc wouldn't post the screen just stay's blank, but with the 6600gt it post but with all funny characters and vertical lines on the screen. my neighbour just confirmed that the 6600gt does the same when booting as the card was in his machine, so looks like it's the graphics card that's toast

Having the same feeling, bought my Ps3 mostly for my movies & blu ray, but acquired more titles this year for my ps3 than pc. Mostly using my pc for Dtp and internet. The prices for components is just becoming a tad bit expensive for high end gaming. Just my 2c
