Re: Helpdesk Procedures
Thanks Everyone. I was very curious as to how the helpdesk works with everyone else. I could honestly pull my hair out with all the users whom think they are greater than the Procedures. While I understand that we are to provide excellent customer services, I feel it defeats the whole purpose if I a...

Re: Ricoh South Africa
Stuart, I have dealt with Ricoh, and while I would say their machines are great, I too have had some issues with their actual Service. I have been dealing mostly with their Cape Town offices, and if it was not for our accounts department asking me about the invoicing, we still would not be paying th...

I admit, I like the corporate way, I like the rules and regulations, even if they seems strict and cumbersome, but I do see the point of these things to ...

Nice Find on the BSF, busy browsing around looks like its the perfect fit. The cssi link I had found but it does not look quite the same. It looks like the are professionals in the field providing the products and services of backup and recovery, but not so much the storage of media. I had seen this...

Backup Services
Hey Guys, I am busy researching off-site backups and the various different methods of achieving it. Let me start with Online backups, which offer a great solution for off-site backup since you can just stream it to an off-site location. This method, although wonderful, is not always the answer since...

Re: Webpage Conundrum
@Stuart:
I have not tried another Browser at this point but I will try that, I try clearing cache though. I also thought maybe to try another user profile on that computer to identify if its profile or PC problem.
@Jamin:
Believe it or not, I have checked that.

What to do with Dot Matrix Printers?
Hi Guys, I am not in anyway trying to sell this on here, so before a mod gets excited and moves it to the Classified section please hear me through. We all know that Dot Matrix is not widely used, but rather only used in certain companies for specialised jobs. My company until recently used Dot Matr...

Fair enough, that will most likely happen. Its not like you have a choice anyway, with the 'never delete profiles' that facebook has, just have them hidden away until you come crying back

Re: Inside Google+: How the search giant plans to go social
my biggest mind set Well innovate is to take some concept and make it better. I think google does that? Ok facebook did a invention/innovation effort thing, but I just get the feeling that money is almost the only drive for them. but in the end everyone could disagree with me :) My opinion is not g...

Re: Inside Google+: How the search giant plans to go social
Lol, Google could very well be the bigger and more evil entity, but personal feeling towards it I prefer google. Seriously other than young naive girls and guys (more girls I think) who puts more personal stuff in there? They could make millions just by adding this field 'Enter bank credentials here...

Re: Inside Google+: How the search giant plans to go social
Well I must say its a good sign if their network is getting flooded already?! That means a lot of people are itching to have a shot at it and not remain slaves to Facebook. Personally I feel safer with Google, even with the whole 'Stealing personal information' during their google maps implementatio...

Yeah I thought that would be the best route. That One Network looks interesting, and supposedly covers 21 countries! That is incredible, local rates where ever you go. I will also look into this, give a call to Cell C. Thanks for the info, *Edit* I just gave Cell C a call, and they pretty useless :r...

International Internet Connections
Hi Guys, As you all probably know that 3G across our borders are, well, hidiously expensive... coming in a +-R50 p/mb for countries next door, and +-R110 for any other country. The only exception to this is if the Service provider has a deal with a provider in the other country. Ok these are the vod...

Re: Multifunction Printers and Contracts
Thanks for the tips, I am focusing on the C35 at the moment, as this is probably going to be the more heavily used machine. After checking through my proposal more carefully I did find that recommended monthly usage is only 8000 prints. I did check with him if this is their service limitation, or if...

Wow dude what Church do you work at :shock: Well I think it should be fine for my network. I am glad you metioned it however, because on second look it does not give me any idea what the recommended monthly usage should be. My Durban network is about 30 people which will be covered by 4 MFP's and Jh...

I received a quotation from Bizhub too, I have never Dealt with KM so I don't know what to expect. However the Sales rep was actually the first one to point out that I was asking for quotations for a machine that exceeds what we actually need, and he quoted me on a better solution as well as the com...
