Re: How to fight game pirates: vuvuzelas!

I dont support piracy and fully appreciate that developers need and deserve our support to continue making great games BUT. I bought COD Black opps and MW2 for the kids for christmas. While installing (before the christmas rush on steam ) I realized that because the games use about 900MB of data to ...

[GN] :/... are we entirely happy with the "outshined"... i yield back the offering that "outshone" might be more appropriate... although, given that the sentence is already frought with grammatical horrors too many to mention, perhaps we should stop prodding it :P [/GN] the cosb...

Re: So you have a plane and a conveyor belt....Does it take off?

What if the turn table is turning the other direction at the the same RPM of the helo's rotors? The rotors would be seen as standing still, so no air would be flowing over them. i think my reasoning is correct I like your thinking but the rotors will only appear stationary if you viewed them while ...

Re: So you have a plane and a conveyor belt....Does it take off?

Centrifugal force can be quite tricky (I know quite a few good engineers that still dont grasp it fully).....its not a real force, although it acts like one and can be used as one in calculations. If you swing a stone on the end of a rope the real force is not what its trying to pull the rope out of...

Something that worked for me: (could be risky so think carefully before you do it) I hate hire purchase and would normally never recommend it to anyone but in this case I think its the lesser of two evils. Work out how much you spend each month on cigarettes. Buy something on HP that you've always w...

I know very little about computer psu's as an item, but In general, if a circuit has a dc to dc step up/down converter in it, which I believe some psu's do, it can create a high pitched ringing at certain loads. You can check if its this by reducing or increasing the demand from the unit and see if ...

Well, if you believe Jesus' claims about himself, then it's not illogical. I'm interested to see what kind of hearing this new theory receives. I suspect that most thinking people--even those who reject the resurrection and ascension--will view this claim with a good degree of scepticism. Yeah, it ...

I bought the Scenic II. It is wonderful on long journeys and has lots of leg room - even in the back. Hubby is over 6ft and he has lots of space. Not too heavy on petrol either. It also has the power and over takes most other vehicles  Nice car but ive heard that the re-sale price is not s...
