Re: Which tyre sizes are best for potholes?
So the profile is a ratio of the width? Cool, learn something new everyday... I thought it was an absolute measurement in mm. I always wondered why my front tyres had a larger profile than the rears but it makes sense becoz the rears are wider than the fronts.

Re: New Car - New Audio. Help. I know nothing :/
Get an MP3 front loader HU (head unit) so you don't have to change CD's that often and some good quality splits for front and rear. You don't really need a sub woofer if you aren't planning on rockin' till the wheels fall off but it's always a nice option. A decent 800W 4 channel amp would go nicely...

I think it's computerised now. OCR ama eNatis is sharp, sharp. Or should I say blunt blunt. But ja, they probably invert it to make it higher contrast for the PC to read.

I bet computer crackers and hackers world wide are very exited about this technology. Especially since the runners of these sites will be a bunch of adolescent emos or other semi computer literate / illiterate users.

Re: Nicotine cravings - how long do they last?
Cravings never stop, craving are psychological - the irritation is the physical withdrawal and lasts a few weeks to a few months apparently. I think cigarettes have a higher relapse rate than heroin or at least remember reading something similar. I'm similar to ryanrich in that I smoked for like alm...

Re: Obtaining external IP via VPN/remote desktop log
I'm on a static IP right now, I was on a dynamic this morning but I haven't posted since then so you should have a static ADSL IP (196.211.x.x) ATM and an iBurst (196.2.x.x / 41.x.x.x) IP somewhere in the past which won't match the current IP because it was about 2-3 days ago since I last posted... ...

Obtaining external IP via VPN/remote desktop log
I've configured my PC to be on the DMZ on my router at home so I could get some files across from work. I've been VPNing into the work account quite often and doing work from home. Problem is I'm now at work and need to get into my home PC and don't have the external IP address written down. Is ther...

I really want to go saltwater, What else is needed ? Ive got the heater. Any special filters needed ? My plans are to get 2 clownfish and 1 sea annnemone ? A lot of chemicals, measuring kits, lighting, and a trickle filter. And a bigger tank would be a good idea. I was interested in it recently. Yo...

I am sick and tired of my anoractic existance* and feel it is time to get out. To be honest, I thought this was a suicide threat! Yes, go out. If you like going out by yourself... She really was telling you the exact truth. She could be clairvoyant, or maybe she's kept a few before? Who knows. Tiger barbs do better in shoals, but if you think you had problems with fins being destroyed by fish rot... Think again. The tiger barb will become very stressed if it's by itself and p...

Re: New BMW M8
I think the biggets problem with BMW is the people that drive them. (MOSTLY) self obsessed tjops. Having said that and being a BIG Merc fanboi, I have to admit that the boys from Bavaria make some fo the best pieces of engineering on the planet, now if only they could fire the guy who does their st...

Re: New BMW M8
Hex_Rated , Agreed on the handling, the Mercs generally suck quite a bit in that department. That said - and again to use a rather informal, if accurate, measurement - if you have a looky at the Top Gear leaderboard...there is no BMW in sight. Top Gear? Don't think they are accurate at all... Wet t...

Re: New BMW M8
BMW don't need a super car, it's not like they have a point to prove, everyone know BMW have had superior engine technology for years, as well as suspension and handling. Look at the V8 M3 vs CL63 AMG. 4.0l V8 vs 6.2l V8. The merc is slightly faster in a straight line, the M3 destroys it around the ...

Re: Need new tyres.
If you're complaining about the price of 15" tyres, don't ever, ever get runflats. They cost like R4k a tyre. And after you realize that when you pull off with launch control and a heavy foot, the smoke spewing out till 80km/h behind you isn't diesel fumes, you become a lot more conservative.

Re: Time to upgrade to something sexy
I'm not too worried about road noise, the car's quiet as it is (just the runflats that suck). What I am worried about is that if you stand outside the car while the 2 subs are getting a work out, it sounds like the cars about to fall apart. To me that = wasted energy which could be channeled into my...

Cool, so you're going with having an external internet connection connected to the entire APN? You're going to have to use some crazy port forwarding there but it will work. I wonder where that idea came from?
