I have thought about that as well, and I will try that if the laser doesn't work. Only thing is I need to learn to solder and so forth as I've never done that kind of work with electronics.

Yea, I tried that but it made the light orange :| Problem with the CCFL is that it's so bright it even reduces the nice red colour in the see through case fans I have. I ended up trading it for another casefan and the laser LED. A solution will present itself, I'm sure. Meanwhile I'm still waiting f...

Thanks for the hint Samaya. I had a 'red' CCFL in the box a couple of weeks ago, problem is the colour was more pink than red.
Red and black = classic
Pink and black = ghey

My plans are pretty fluid, and I can always find a place to use a red laser LED.

Thanks RRF. Current plan is to engrave two dragons (not exactly engrave, but you'll see), one which is a tattoo I have and the other my wife's, into the plexi so that they will glow when I shine laser LEDs into the the panes. I already have one laser LED, and will probably get another in a week or s...

Well well, whadaya know it worked. These are the side panels of my case, currently having plexi cut for them. I did this with my trusty (and to date used on wood only) jigsaw. Kinda hard to keep on the line when it's vibrating so much you can barely see the damn thing!

How did you apply the toothpaste? I did a test with the buffing wheel on my Einhell pencil grinder in the week on the screen of an old cellphone, and it screwed the screen up something terrible when I applied some pressure!

Kronos : Thanks for the tips. One thing I like about silicone is that you can remove i rather cleanly, if with some effort, if you decide it's not the solution for you. It also shouldn't discolour/ eat away at the plexi. Clear ? And here I was looking at the nice grey they use to seal basins in the ...

Thank you for the welcome RRF, appreciate it. I have seen the installation that you are talking about, and I agree that it would be the best looking and most secure way to put a window in. I also have a good idea that I won't be able to install it myself, which is why I'm looking for other options. ...

DragonWatch's N00b case modding questions

Hi there guys. I'm new to your forum and a bit of a n00b at casemodding. Please excuse me if there is already a topic dealing with questions by n00bs, or nubs or however we're writing it these days. I've started modding my case about two weeks ago, nothing too radical just cut out the standard fan g...
