Re: SA FTW!
Kronos, I tend to agree with ryanrich; perhaps you would be much happier moving overseas... I am sorry for your misfortunes and your tone is that of someone bitter and hurt. Most of the points you stated are nerve wrecking and shock us all to the horrible reality of what life is in Africa (or South ...

I have discovered what the problem with the sound is. The game seems to have issues with onboard sound cards. I found this out by testing Tiberium Wars and replicated the problem as well whereas before when I used my x-fi the sound was perfect. I somehow then need to get my motherboard to accept my...

Well, SA FTW! The weather has been awesome these last 2 weeks in the Northern Cape. My wife and I are on our way to Augrabies this weekend for an outing and a bit of MTB'ing. We'll be spending the evenings around a nice braai fire, braai'ing chops and enjoying the rumbling of the waterfall in the ba...

PCF Aug-08 cover
I must admit, I am slightly confused with the PCF cover for Aug-08. A poll was held to vote for which cover users would prefer. Results indicated that the "hot" cover was the favourite. Yet, PCF decided to use the "babe" cover. Now I don't mind either way (I still think it's a gr...

I tried COD4 last night. I know it usually takes a while to install, but last night, it didn't even make it half way and it hanged. It is not so much about the installations, but more when running games. Crysis, for example, takes about 10 minutes to start now (as apposed to a minute previously), du...

Slow DVD / CD reading speed
Hi all I've got a very weird problem with my DVD ROM, specifically when installing applications. I would insert the CD / DVD and install as usual, however, the application takes FOREVER to install....and I mean, it is painstackingly slow!!! The PC is fairly new (got it in April 2008). Initial...
