Re: Raspberry Pi ... mmmmmhhmmm
LOL, we'll the main purpose i ordered the Raspberry Pi is to use it as a media center, gonna load XBMC onto it, connect 1 or 2 external HDD, and your ready  Well I think, from having looked at some projects in the wild, I want to try an emulator type device with a retro game pad. Also dug ...

Re: Raspberry Pi ... mmmmmhhmmm
So, mine arrived in the post yesterday (ordered six weeks ago, exactly 4 days before the postal strike and BOOM - delays-a-mondo Anywho, now it's sitting and I'm trying to decide what to do with it? I'm thinking an SNES / Megadrive box. Problems - for some reason, I'm the only person that doesn't ow...

Re: Diablo 3 Official!!!
So wondering if / how Blizzard will allow owners of the game on PC to gain access to the PS3 version without having to shell out more cash for the same game.  you appear to be suffering from the illusion that actibliz gives a darn... I know, and what's worse is that I was "that guy&...

So wondering if / how Blizzard will allow owners of the game on PC to gain access to the PS3 version without having to shell out more cash for the same game. Played through the PC version once but stopped after that because I couldn't take the lag anymore. Think it would be an absolute blast to a) p...

Re: What game are you currently playing?
Picked up Fallout New Vegas for PS3 on sale at Kalahari along with Killzone, Deus Ex Human Revolution and Homefront. Loved Fallout 3 on PC so playing New Vegas atm.

Re: Diablo 3 Official!!!
So finished the game for the first time last night - Diablo on normal was pathetically easy, I struggled more with Izual and Belial. I would love to progress my character to level 60 but frankly there are other games now to spend my free time on rather than playing through the same game again. I act...

Re: Diablo 3 Official!!!
All a matter of opinion I suppose, I've enjoyed immensely thus far, they seem to have sorted out the lag issues with the EU servers so had a pretty uninterrupted weekends worth. Just finished the Bastion's Keep quest where you defeat the Lord of Gluttony - now that was cheesy (and very simplistic) -...

Re: Diablo 3 Official!!!
The lag oh the lag. Last week I was in the green the whole time, now Caldeum from the oasis onwards has been a nightmare of lag *hacks away violently at thin air and then dies for unknown reasons when game catches up*. Really hope the patch sorts that out, don't know if its because more and more pla...

Re: Diablo 3 Official!!!
Just wish they would hurry up with this patch, had such bad lag for the first time last night, in Act II in the sewers fetching Adria right up until I was in the Oasis searching for the head... Loving the whirwind skill for my Barb. Must agree with everyone else, they've pulled a bit of a dirty one ...

Re: Diablo 3 Official!!!
Weekend was too busy to get sufficient game time in, just defeated the witch in Act II and now down in the sewers. A few level-ups did the world of good for the mobs that I was battling with, love the Earthquake skill.

Re: Diablo 3 Official!!!
I'm going to make a statement here - health globes suck. Bring back potion spamming. My barb is getting into situations where my health is draining my kills aren't generating health globes and all the while my potions are recharging. Was much easier to just load up with like 500 potions and spam awa...

Re: Diablo 3 Official!!!
To think people never really complained about these things in Diablo 2 or rather there weren't enough forums and internet access to complain. My argument is play your class and enjoy it. Shame, I've got my poor little USB Soulstone sitting feeling very unused with my copy of DII on it, haven't play...

I won't say THAT guy was a walk in the park for me, but I managed him 1st time so I am happy. atm I have CLEAVE and for those dammed wasps, I use THROW WEAPON which helps quite a bit (you talking bout the ones spewing those little poisonous bugs at you? or those group things you hardly see until th...

Re: Diablo 3 Official!!!
Okay so balance issues, jeez. Killed the Butcher at the end of Act I without my barb even breaking a sweat. One hour into Act II, currently level 17, and the mobs are pwning me, voraciously. Have LMB mapped to the skill for taking out groups (swings your weapon in an arc) and have Nerves of Steel pa...

Re: Diablo 3 Official!!!
Methinks all the Torchlight fanbooi-ism is unjustified, hate to burst any bubbles but Torchlight II will probably get some dedicated followers, but to be frank, it doesn't stand a snowballs against the Blizzard juggernaut. Torchlight I was fun, but nowhere near as fun as DII. I don't see any midnigh...

Re: Diablo 3 Official!!!
Seems like mobile broadband is the way to play, haven't had a single disconnect or any noticeable lag using my HSPA modem. Loving this game, to be quite honest I find the checkpoint mechanism pretty similar to Diablo II where it would save on exit but you would still lose progress unless you had rec...

Re: Diablo 3 Official!!!
think the "always online" aspect literally just pings their servers every now and again in the background to check you're legit. your 'client' is essentially art and assets... everything else happens server side. while your client pushes input updates to the server, the server pushes phys...

Re: Diablo 3 Official!!!
@Jonboy what times did you play? I played last night from 8pm until 11pm (EU servers of course) Still holding thumbs that Blizzard buckles to the pressure and releases a batch that divorces the SP game from the always online requirement. Then it would be perfect. Right now it's getting 90% in my bo...

Re: Diablo 3 Official!!!
How's the single player lag everyone was concerned about? Would it be playable on a 3g connection? I've been playing using my Cell C HSPA modem and it's been perfectly smooth, no lag or anything like that whatsoever, think the "always online" aspect literally just pings their servers ever...

The free passes allow you to play the First Act up to the battle with the Skeleton King, so yes, much like the beta.Tribble wrote:Wow. Sounds fun and stressful.
I hear the extra codes only give the same access as the demo. Is that correct?

Re: Diablo 3 Official!!!
Got my CE yesterday, stared lovingly at it from 10am to 4pm, rushed home, began the install while helping the wife with dinner. Checked in just before dinner was ready 1 hour later, 40% ready. Ate, did the dishes, had a shower, another hour later, 76% ready. Watched an episode of Big Bang Theory, st...

Re: Diablo 3 Official!!!
So Takealot are delivering my CE this morning (ordered in November last year, sheesh). Question, I'll be playing off my Cell C HSPA dongle (I know, the horror), but to conserve bandwidth, is there an offline location to download the patches so long from work so when I get home I can just install, up...

Re: PS3 Bundle Opinions
I just know my hubby loved those games. Saints Row is really messed up - it looks awesome. Uncharted is really good too - and plays really well on the PS3. Although I am not sure you get the same graphics as on the PC with all the fab graphics cards out - you won't be sorry with the PS3. You have a...

PS3 320Gb + 1 controller + UFC2010 + Saints Row II + GT5 @ Pick and Pay = R3499; Really great games those! Um depends on how old you are though. Haha, lol, I'm a 28 year old man-child as my wife puts it  And that was at CNA so get cash-card points on any purchase there (I suppose I also get sm...
