Man I love the vuvuzela. So many frikking uses! Make noise, drink through it, make noise, weapon, make noise, pretend guitar, make noise, pretend telescope, make noise, snorkel, I can go on an on.
But seriously, I really like the vuvuzela and am not irritated by the sound.

haha, I read that article. The lady wasn't blowing the vuvuzela, she put her lips around and was screaming through the thing in a "clearing your throat" sort of way. Trying to mimic the sound with her voicebox instead of blowing air through tight lips.
