LOL. I found another solution. You see I did not have the cd that came with it. So I used winrar to extract the driver installaion file. then manualy installed the drivers and software. Did the same with the hotfix in safe mode, just replaced the driver. It works 100% no problem at all. Thanks thral...

Hay guys, I've got a soud blaster live 5.1 series card in my pc. When I run the drivers provided off this months dvd, I get an error that the sound card is not present in my system & refuses to install.

Windows however picks it up just fine. any idea's?

Your card ain't frying just yet. I've seen this before a hundred times. Go to your Ati control panel and disable overdrive. Overdrive is a dynamic overclocking tool in driver level, and unfortuatly fear is extremely sensitive to any forms of overclocking and Ati.
