Re: Wii region locked?

Thanks Stu...I had googled, but I also seem to find some conflicting articles stating that it itsn't region-free in some countries. seems like the general consensus is yes, though. It's so annoying, especially since there's a special that includes an extra controller and game...and it works out to a...

Wii region locked?

Hi guys

Is the Nintendo Wii region-locked? My sister wants one, and my mum's in the U.S at the moment, and it's really cheap there. If we get one there, would games bought locally work on it? Or would it need some sort of firmware hack ?

Where to get a Laptop in JHB

Hi guys The girlfriend needs a basic lappy for work. She lives in JHB though, and I usually buy my stuff from PCZone in DBN. All I could do was tell her to stay away from Incredible. Anyone know of good stores in JHB? I was thinking of getting her the Lenovo G530 from here and sending it up as it's ...

Er, guys, how is NOD32?
I know it's not free, but I got tired of Norton slowing my system down. Would rather pay for something worth it.

I remember going through this dilemma a while back. The general consensus seemed to be that it should be fine if you mount the drive upside down, as long as you keep it in that orientation for the rest of its life. Changing the orientation some time later apparently, had adverse effects...IIRC...Jus...

Iceblade, I had the same prob a few months back. Basically, if your drive has a few CRC errors in a row, then windows reverts the drive to PIO mode (which is not fast enough for DVD viewing, etc). Thing is, windows forgets to switch back to DMA when you change the disc. There's an update or patch th...

Samaya's right. Usually, the white wire is used to send a signal to the motherboard, for monitoring the RPM of the fan. You CANNOT connect those types of wires together. (Unless you use diodes, but let's not go there...). If you don't mind losing the ability to monitor fan speeds, just connect the w...
