I'm with Thrall on this one, Sony is overpriced and not as good as they are made out to be. I know plenty people that Have had problems with sony. When I buy optical drives I buy Plextor if I'm feeling rich or lite-on (unless I can't find lite-on in which case I am happy with LG) I am also not a fan...

Cyberdyne are cheaper then computers only and most dealers ,despite what some mite say. They have Kinston + Samsung RAM and Hitachi + Western Digital Hdd's. I agree 100% ComputersOnly are good because they stock a nice range but their RAM is WAY overpriced, if you're going to buy RAM get it from cyb...

The chaintech is a nice board, but its an NForce 3 - 150 board, so the AGP/PCI locks aren't there where as the MSI K8N Neo is a nForce 3 - 250 board so it has AGP/PCI locks and an onboard hardware firewall. If I were you I would get the nForce 3 - 250 version of the chaintech board ( http://www.chai...

I agree with Ruad 100%. If you do have issues with the mag, take it up with the staff - send a mail or a pm to Cameron or Tamsin, a public post like this is written in a very negative light and somewhat slanderous since most readers wouldn't even pick up the minor errors you pointed out, you make i...

Hmmm... 007 you sound like you didn't want to buy the mag in the first place. It's easy to point out mistakes when you are negative to begin with. It sounds more like you are complaining about the measly bit of money you had to spend, buying a descent magazine. I'll bet if you got it for free you w...

That is a very neat cooler btw. I can get you one for about R240 +-. There are also more advanced versions with external switches for controlling fan speed etc, but they are a bit more expensive. I've got the Pro version of the HSF you mention. It's about R420 incl. There is also an Ultra version a...

My AMD Athlon 1200 runs at 58 idling... Its been running fine for years , no life shortening... But now my question :: Everyone says the optimal running temp for a amd is X degree C , then say : Buy a Thermaltake fan... yada yada Why cant AMD give proper fans / cooling with their systems?? Too chea...
Yes, it will actually slow your system slightly if you run your ram out of sync with your FSB. I was running DDR333 in my Athlon with a FSB of 266 and when I underclocked the RAM to 266 and upped the timings I got better RAM benchmarks and better staibility Really.... Hmmm so what sort of differenc...
You don't need a special board but DDR 500 is generally used by overclockers so that they can overclock their FSB and still have a 1:1 ratio between the FSB and the memory bus which is best. However there are other advantages to DDR500, in general if you buy DDR400 memory it will run at 400Mhz but m...

MSI, cost around R840.00 I wasn't aware that the MSI K8 N Neo was available yet and if it is I highly doubt that one can find one for R840 (but I could be wrong). Where do you get that price from? I have an MSI board and I have no problems with it, I doubt that the KV8 MAXIII is worth double the as...
