Mine is a whopping 4.5 (personally I blame Quake 3, for crashing the whole time)

You know, KDE4's release was premature. Its not even finished, half the features do not work. And I never really liked KDE 3x so I guess until KDE4 is decent (could take a year or so); I'll have to use Gnome

Dunno hey, sure at the moment AMD seem to be lagging behind. Although personally I prefer AMD to Intel, so I guess I am biased.

Installing SP3 now should only be done on test machines. Since its beta and there are rumors that certain Vista tech will be back ported to XP. Such as not needing to enter a install key during setup and possible bit locker? However wait until final release before installing SP3

Sad thing is even if they manage for this application to convert Direct X 10 to Direct X 9 with the release of Direct X 10.1 it would set this project back to square 1. In the end I think we will end up having to use Vista

Hi there, if you look in the device manager, does it list your Conexant HD Audio device? If it does, make sure that its set as default device in your audio properties. If still no justice uninstall the driver and reinstall. Also make sure you have ALL updates for Windows XP x64
