Thanx syfgate is very good and it doesn't screw up my network like zone alarm.

I tryed to remove my network from zone alarm but It refused thats why I had to uninstall it.

Hi. I need to use a firewall for internet connection. I want to know if win xp's is any good? What other free 1's are there exept zone alarm it screwed up my lon connection the other day.

Well my internet connection is on the win xp machine but will try your suggestions tommorrow thanks.

subnet mask's are the same 255.255.255.0

Tryed repair in xp and in win 98 when I reinstalled tcp/ip now I can only ping the machine(win 98) by typing its name not its ip even though I have ip 192.168.0.2 specified it says ip unreachable. This is when I try to ping win with win 98 machine. Still can't get the machines to ping or see themsel...

Tryed that didn't work. Anybody have any idea what I can do I have tryed everything I know but nothing works.

I am networking an win xp and win 98 machine . They where working perfectly up untill today but now they don't seem to see each other. I have pinged the names and ip's no success. The cards and switch are working since the lights of the switch comes on and when the cards ping themselves they respond...

When got to the windows update page it doesn't load the updates. It just keeps saying the windows update sight has not finsihed loading. Help please

Yep I am using the latest drivers from nvidia's site.

The piracy situation is like this. There will always be pirates some people will always. I admit I have pirated but the only reason is I can't afford all the games I wan't on a scholars wage. And I will get the games if they wan't to over price them they force us to buy the pirated versions.

Hi. I need some help. I can´t get an inter connection shared between my win 98 system( which has the connection ) and my win xp system. I can share files and printers. I tryed the win xp setup wizard but no luck. Any help would be appreciated.
