Looking good so far ;) I dunno if if its just my n00biness but I think the sticker or whatever it is thats on your perspex is upside down.. When I first assembled the case after powdercoating, many moons ago, I decided to have a BTX-style stacker. Would have been very unique back then, but never got...

I would say that you have a serious Bios-issue with your Lappie, please update that and post back.

Yes. Shouldn't exceed 50C when you stress the CPU. This is a myth. Those cpu's are designed to run 60+ for their whole life, without issues. 60-65 deg C not uncommon for those cpus, but I anyway believe the temp on this one is off.....full-load should be 52-57 on aircooling, and 22-25deg C ambient....

Can a Moderator please close this Project log, as I will not continue with it.

I relocated to Melbourne, and sold most of the setup to RRA (Systemshock) before I left.

Don't worry, I am posting a new mod now....

Best regards,
Beanie.

Hello Belix, I have 2x XFX 7900GTX Extremes. Their version number is on the outside of the box, a 4x5cm white label with barcode, etc, including version number... Your's should have it too. Look on the box. I have a feeling that the newer ones have better vreg circuitry, beefier - but this is unconf...

Raid 0, when using decent harddrives, eg Raptors, and a good powerful cpu/memory subsystem, will be very noticably faster than ANY single drive setup. That goes for loading games, starting/shutting Windows, general copying, etc. If you know what you're doing setting up Raid disks, it need not be a p...

Ah, np.....I just didn't see Solo's new score, but yeah, 3dM06 is vicious on any system currently. I am happy with 8k, decided if I can get this on watercooled non-modded 256m GTX's, it will be good. Luckily I managed, but to hit mid 9k's I would need 512m versions, and that ain't gonna happen. So, ...

@ DJV: Mushkin TCC5, OCZ TCCD and Mushkin BH5's all work extremely well in my A8N-32. No stability/boot issues..... So work from there. @ Brabham: YOur system is an entry level system, and if you turn on eye-candy in the newest games, eg FEAR etc, it will bring it to it's knees. What games do you pl...

Hello Everyone, Here is a first for South africa ;) 7k is history. I have done that with single core cpu, FX55 @ 3100mHz, will be testing with my 4800 dualcore quite soon, just awaiting some di-electric grease. Should be getting northwards of 8500 when running dualcore, I am estimating closer to 9k....

Because I sticked my dead ABIT's sticker to the bottom of my chassis and now I'm battling to get it cleaned properly
Use Doom insect poison, or Target or similar, will quickly and effectively clean any residue left from stickers ;)
