My new bike. Had a good 15km test on the trails today. Amazing!

Re: English Spam Thread and General Rubbish
Wow, quiet around these parts. So update on my side, my Dad is selling his business in RSA and my folks are emigrating to AUS, they should have their permanent residency visa's in around 3-6 months but will move in around a year from now. They've already purchased an investment property here as part...

Re: English Spam Thread and General Rubbish
well well well, here we go again! I am here to say goodbye to the horrible year that was 2020. Hoping the new one that is coming will ignore the memes and be a much better one. Though I have not minded 2020, the negativity and all the people dying kinda put a dampener on it. Though I have made some...

Re: SARS-CoV-2 (COVID-19)
And so ends NZ’s clear run, and why it’s illogical to chase a zero infection rate. You’ll have to keep borders closed indefinitely to “completely eradicate Covid-19”.

Re: SARS-CoV-2 (COVID-19)
Things are starting to return to normal here, zero active cases in South Australia, restaurants are open for indoor dining again from today (limitations on patrons apply though), pubs from June 5th. Indoor sports as well, so wife’s netball is starting again next week. My company is back at the offic...

Re: SARS-CoV-2 (COVID-19)
Here in South Australia we’re 12 days without a new case and only 5 or so active cases. Looks like I’ll be heading back to work soon and business are starting to open again, gyms and restaurants to follow, with regulations in place.
Problem is, what happens when borders open again.

Re: SARS-CoV-2 (COVID-19)
Our relatively mild lockdown seems to have worked quite well on the whole “flattening the curve” front. 1C5E8568-107F-4AF5-AEDF-F50F006C6090.jpeg Did they remove active cases from that data? They’re daily confirmed new cases. Here in South Australia we had only 2 new cases the last 7 days and total...

Nice one Ron! Crazy good international speeds. Yeah the link to SA is always pretty rubbish, it’s always a pain talking to my folks on Facetime.

Re: SARS-CoV-2 (COVID-19)
Yeah, I've been looking at the way South Africans (Most anyway) responded to this, as well as the stark difference in leadership under Cyril during a crisis (vs the first world) and I'm slightly jealous  A broken clock is right twice a day. Just because South Africa had the correct response to...

Re: Your wheels (pics)
I'm planning on keeping the Forestor for a while. I'd prefer to not have had a HP but it wasn't possible. I drove a Holden Commodore for a week while my car was at the panel beater ( some **** backed into me and then tried to give me false information and avoid my calls    ) The c...

Re: Your wheels (pics)
We've had them both from new and now have paid them off, which is my favourite thing about them and a reason the keep them as long as possible :D 100%! Opted for cheaper cars here that I could buy cash instead of any HP payments like I had in SA with that money trap GTI. Interest rates here in AUS ...

Re: SARS-CoV-2 (COVID-19)
@ryanrich I hope everyone who has left did that. Things are going to be bad everywhere for a while. Yup, over R19 to the USD now, my Dad is even starting to move money from his company to offshore. Going to get way worse before it gets better, but I think SA might be in big trouble at the moment wi...

Nice one Prime, love those Scoobies. Used cars are such good value here, especially those from Asia. I paid under $20k for our Sportage, think you can get a Picanto in SA for that.

So after my Mk6 GTI in Cape Town I needed a bigger car, just before the kids arrived so bought an Audi A4 2.0T S-Line which I loved! 343E0031-1ECE-4D96-BA91-9EED46542268.jpeg 3273DDEC-79B6-4845-8B6E-A0A208BE9750.jpeg After moving to AUS I decided to go for something different and bought a Ford Falco...

Re: SARS-CoV-2 (COVID-19)
COVID-19 plus Junk Status has hit South Africa at literally the worst time, Rand is taking a hammering. It is pretty stable. It has improve 20 odd cents already, from the R18.00+ it was this morning.Even if it increases, as long as it remains stable, we should be fine. R18,74 at the moment....
