Re: Watercooling Setups - Advice and pics here

Okay, got my 930 up to 4.2 GHz! It's running at 1.35 volts, also had to up my PLL, IOH and ICH volts slightly to get it stable, but it seems to be running fine now. Today is a slightly warm and humid day, so load under Prime95 is up to 81 - 83, but normally it's between 77 and 79, which I think is ...

Re: which gpu is best???

GTX580 would be overkill for an i5 rig but that won't stop me recommending it :P

Re: sli quad channel

I reckon the quad sli (4 cards) will depend on the motherboard but I don't see why it couldn't be done. Only problem not so many boards out there that would support something like that. One I know of is the Asus P6T7 WS SuperComputer LGA1366 http://www.asus.com/Motherboards/Intel_Socket_1366/P6T7_WS...

Re: Post your Rig!

Why aren't u going for an Ivy Bridge rig? Well, tbh this dream rig of mine was suppose to a reality soon but depending on the progress of and the time frame of the Ivy Bridge and Sandy Bridge-E I might hold out a bit. But a dream rig will only stay a dream rig if no action is taken so I don't inten...

Re: Post your Rig!

But you have quite a rig in mind, and I assume you're going to benchmark it? Hence the 2 MARS gpus? Hell yea. I will definately bench it :) Just hoping to get the MARS II cards as they will be on limited supply. They are simply sick. Even one would be ok but why bother with only one when building a...

Re: World hard drive shortage

Spoke to my suppliers today and HDD stock doesn't seem to be too big of an issue (at the moment). What IS bit of an issue is the SATA3G drives fading out (in some sense being discontinued) and the SATA6G becoming the standard. Unfortunately the 6G is still on the expensive side for someone looking t...

Re: My new pc

Hi Raikan007, Depending on your budget you might want to hold back a bit on the CPU. The 2700K is available very soon. Also, according to my suppliers the LGA2011 socket should be available next month or early Jan. It will most probably be replacing the LGA1366 at the high end market. RAM: If you ar...

Re: AMD vs. Intel

Currently Intel have a few Celeron G series also in the Sandy Bridge range if you looking for "budget". They are round the R400 mark. Also, according to my suppliers the Intel LGA2011 socket should be available round about next month or early January. That would change alot of things again...

Re: Post your Rig!

@Slimshaedy Apologies first of all if my post seemed like advertising. I honestly did not intend for that. I simply wanted to share my dream rig but didn't want to spam the thread with all the tech details, thus linking it to my site. Regarding the watercooling. It was an option. I considered at one...
