So I have been testing it for the last couple of days and it seems more or less fine again on the Telkom account. The issue must have been with Telkom, if I have issues again I might post again.
It helps having a backup account for internet now, though. Thanks for the help

Re: Ping to European servers
Yeah that's very true. I will get a chance to test it maybe this afternoon and this evening, so here's to hoping it goes well.

Re: Ping to European servers
Kind of just realized that using the new router nearby is not an option because of the RJ45 WAN port concern. Unless I get an extremely long cable to go from the dsl router to the tp link.

Re: Ping to European servers
Alright, so I have tried using an Afrihost account and I must say that it is much better (at least for now). I started off by testing my latency (in-game, not with cmd.exe) on both WoW and Arma using my telkom data and the latencies were both pretty bad as I mentioned in my first post. I then switch...

Re: Ping to European servers
Thanks for the replies! It was actually working fine this morning for about an hour and then when back up to the high latency. I will try connecting my laptop via cable as well as creating an Afrihost account. I remember a friend having issues with his Black ops 2 which were sorted with using afriho...

Re: Ping to European servers
Thanks for the reply. I have not connected my PC directly to my router, reason being that my PC is on the complete opposite end of the property. My ICS setup has been mostly fine, I have been using it for over 2 years now. My ISP is telkom, but I haven't tried another ISP because my dad uses the int...

Ping to European servers
Hi everyone I hope I'm posting this in the right place, but its more network that gaming I guess :P So lately I have been playing Arma 3 on some European servers where my ping would go between 160ms to about 200ms, maybe up to 300ms if it spiked. Thing is that suddenly I have had the issue where whe...

I don't think I will ever forgot Bioshock Infinite. The ending left me thinking about it long after. Until now only movies could do that.

Friend's R16000 build
Hey everyone So I was initially putting together a list of parts for my friend under the budget of R9000. After his birthday his budget went up to, well, high (for me that is). His dad got a new list suggested to him by another computer guy and now I made changes to that list as well (a couple of th...

Re: What's keeping you on XP?
I am planning on making a XP partition just for my really old games using those ancient installers. For me the whole look of OS has become quite important. That has always been a problem for me in XP and downloading windows 7 or Vista themes is not really worth the trouble. Windows 7 and OSX look gr...

Are all the current 1155 mobos going to support Ivy Bridge with an update? Or will it only be the Z68 ones?

To do this should I just uninstall and reinstall the Local Area Connection drivers?jamin_za wrote: I'd suggest deleting all configs off the physical network cards on both machines - uninstall and reinstall then if necessary - and then try running the ICS wizard again.
Thanks so much for all the posts guys.

Getting ICS working again...
Hey guys Since I got my desktop internet has been a bit of a problem. My wireless ends just outside my bedroom (I don't have a wireless card on top of that) and my 3g cap is a low 250mb pm. Now I have my Macbook with Windows 7 installed which I used previously for my gaming before building my deskto...

Really? Now looking at it, it does seem like it is better for the price. So should I really go for the BX2031? I just want to be sure from other opinions.

Re: Which screen to get?
Well the SA350s are a bit out of my budget (more than R2000) and I haven't found any 20" versions of that series in hope for one being within my budget. I am looking at the Samsung P2070 and Samsung S20A300B monitors. The P2070 is LCD with 2ms response and the S20A300B is LED with 5ms response....

Thanks for the replies
Then is maybe something like the Samsung P2070 (R1550) worth looking at? I would like to order from Rebeltech, because I find a lot of their pricing good and I know them now after ordering my PC parts from them.

I already had a look at screens with faster response but the 2ms start at about R2000, from where I look up my parts :/

Which screen to get?
Hey all Thanks again for helping me out with the parts selection of my rig, by the way. It is running extremely well :). I was meant to borrow a screen from a friend after building my computer but it packed up and I ended up using an old CRT monitor with 1024x768 res. I am planning on getting a scre...

Yeah. I disagreed with that. An i3 build is very upgradeable for i5 or i7 and I have read about many people happy with their i3 cpus for gaming
