Hi All, I received a 900+ page document from a external source. The doc was password protected, which i removed effortlessly. However when converting the doc to excel; Cells either end up scattered, merged or unusable. Needless to say, it would be a laborious task coping page by page. My question th...

Re: Which 3G Modem to get?
Well put. And was always leaning towards that option. My question however remains, which brand, model, spec would be the best option here? Given also, that i would most likely refrain from having to change it again a few months down the line. In addition, with mobile connectivity and stability being...

Is it Possible to improve 3G Modem Speeds?
HI All, I am getting an 8ta 10GB 3G promo next weekend. The 3G modem is NOT included (Huawei E367) but runs at 21mb/ps. Link: http://8ta.co.za/plans/postpaid-data/i5promo/ However I already own a Vodafone 3g card (K3565-Z) which ONLY runs at 3,5mb/s. I was wondering, is there any way to increase my c...

Which 3G Package??
HI All I’m at a crossroads regarding 3g data bundles/contracts. I know conventionally getting an ADSL Landline would be 1st option; however I prefer having the option of mobility to my disposal, also the line rentals incl. service provider equals to R550+ (too rich at the moment for me) The a...

Re: Mac Book info needed
Hi Jamin, I also figured im setting the bar rather low regarding the budget. Hence iv decided to save up some more, and just keep up to date with new models and prices. Im checking online if there's another app that produces the same results, but has lower system requirements. Do you perhaps know of...

Mac Book info needed
Hi guys, I need some info quickly. I’m use to using windows platform, so clueless when it comes to MAC. My girlfriend works in the Film Production Industry, and they mainly use “Final Cut Pro”, “Avid” and “Adobe Premier” to edit the footage. I’ve loaded Avid on my laptop [Acer Aspire 5336], and it ...

Re: "Newbie"- Which Mobi to get?
Hi guys. I'm planning on buying the new monitor end of the month. I'm getting a 23" 2ms 5 or 20mil:1 ratio. So 2 last questions: 1. Which would be the best brand monitor to buy; samsung, phillips, dell, lg, benQ. 2. Has any1 have experience with AOC monitors? This brand is rediculously cheap. 2...

Howzit guys, yet another late night, working well into the night... :? I'm getting just a "lil" impatient with the purchase now :? But I'll hang in there. I don't want to regret buying, simply coz I didn't do enough research. Pilgrim- Yip,that's the Phillips I was refering to. As for Dynami...

Re: "Newbie"- Which Mobi to get?
Sorry for the late reply guys, works been hectic. Pilgrim: the contrast on the one u suggested is only has 1000:1 contrast ratio. Would the models with 5 000000:1 ratio not be a better option? I saw Chaos Computers selling a Phillips 23" 20 000000:1 5ms for R1800, shouldn't I rather get that on...

Re: "Newbie"- Which Mobi to get?
Slimshaedy - thanks for the welcome. Iv already started looking where to buy the 2500k.Sahara sells it for 1.6k, which is very reasonable. Haven't had time to read up on review on the mobo. I think that's how I'll do it, buy cpu 1st; then case; then mobo. As for GPU, I have a ATI 4870 at the moment....

Re: "Newbie"- Which Mobi to get?
Thanx for the heads-up Kalster. I can wait till Aug. And with the release of the new AMD range, the Intel's retail might just drop (hopefully :-) As I said, the plan is to purchase the components bit by bit. I unfortunately wasn't blessed with the "patience" genes :-) so saving up will be ...

LOL. well, seeing as I have the gphx card, hdd & psu already.
I was thinking 5k. but that would have had to incl the chassis.
and i was hoping to built something decent, that would last me, thats how i ended up with my current antique

Re: "Newbie"- Which Mobi to get?
Ron2k : I was also considering the fact the components would get outdated fairly rapidly. That's also why I'm not particularly in a rush to purchase. I have actually considered AMD. but which components would you suggest, given my requirements? Kalster : Thanks for warm welcome :-) This seems like a...
