Thats driver issue try re-install the Cat 9.5WHQL and here's hoping its fixed
Oh yeah, Vantage scores with GPU PhysX are NULL and VOID!
Seriously it makes it difficult to compare the numbers objectively...

Re: 3DMark Vantage
Stuart that rig isn't Stock.
That CPU score in Vantage is more like 4Ghz and not 3.2Ghz,
At 3.6GHz with RAM at 1,600MHz CL7 Dual Channel, my CPu score is just under 10K, so 11K is not stock
Open CPU-Z and the Vantage score at the same time

Re: RAMPAGE II EXTREME MEETS 5GHZ i7 1st Run!
Yeah the Ram is relatively cheap
It can bench just fine at 2050MHz CL8 1T as well
It's about R1,880 retail for 3x1GB I suppose its a little steep for 1600MHz RAM seeing as you can get other 3x2GB for about the same if not less also rated 1600, but I doubt it'll clock like this.

Re: ASUS Designes Monster Dual-GTX 285 4 GB GPU
Not a chance I could afford one but certainly going to bench with one
Sick benchmark results with it hehehehe especially since drivers recognize it as GTX295 which it is really

Re: RAMPAGE II EXTREME MEETS 5GHZ i7 1st Run!
Yeah PhII results from Sampsa and co were amazing, but in general the 955's are more consistent in clock speeds than i7 or core 2's even. The one sample I have did 6Ghz fairly easily, could not bench, but that had everything to do with me not clocking correctly, was just pulling validation screensho...

Re: RAMPAGE II EXTREME MEETS 5GHZ i7 1st Run!
Hey man. Long time :) Yeah I tell you I'm just preparing my 955 + M4A79T run right now. Just sealed and tweaking now pot ready. Will LN2 it ASAP maybe even on weekend but I doubt it. ON wknd I'll spend more time with i7 and DICE I tell you this CPU is so so so difficult. The thing is i7 is an exerci...

RAMPAGE II EXTREME MEETS 5GHZ i7 1st Run!
Some Rampage II Extreme Results for you guys to look at. Will improve soon enough, hopefully with some ATI power under the hood ;) Here are the results, they could have been significantly higher, but had some issues that will be discussed after results. CPU: Intel Core i7 Extreme 965 (C1 Stepping Re...

South African Overclocking Team Recruiting
Hi all. The South African Overclocking Team is recruiting capable and enthusiastic overclockers. In the last 5 months or so the team (currently System Shock) has managed to increase its points from a paltry 400 odd to over 1,300 points. Where average points per user are concerned South Africa is doi...

Re: 22nm Transistors FTW
Know I'm late but a heads up. Process node has nothing to do with architecture. It's a lithographic process not tied to design, instruction set or anything of the like. Both AMD and Intel used 130, 90, 65 and 45nm process in their CPUs. AMD uses SOI technology while Intel doesn't for the exact same ...

Re: Nvidia going bust?
AIB stands for "Add In Board" by the way, A motherboard isn't an Add In Board, although a card is, as well as being a piece of electronic equipment. Forgot. 1. The dictionary meaning doesn't necessarily describe what the relationship is between these companies. It's allot more than what t...

Re: Nvidia going bust?
1. Yes, but they BUILD the boards, a piece of hardware. Sometimes under complete guidance from nVidia/AMDs reference designs, sometimes not (esp motherboards) . 2. The board is the underlying infrastructure of the product, almost as vital as the GPU/CPU. AFAIK these companies fabricate the PCBs, th...

furthermore, their standalone gfx cards are far weaker and far more expensive than those of their main rival. nvidia's credibility, in my mind, is slowly disappearing up its own bottom, and deservedly so. No that's where you're mistaken once again, there's nothing disappearing in NVIDIA's credibili...

Context! This is why you shouldn't read things from the INQ its 99% FUD. Theo, Charlie etc.. all of them were barred form many press events because of their inability to separate truth from their fanboisim but mostly ignorance. The failures have nothing to do with desktop parts. The parts failing we...

Gigabyte EP45T-Extreme + E8500 C0 ES 5.4GHz
What a weekend! Besides being impressed by the power of the 4870X2 I also realized how much I rely on Rivatuner and other 3rd party programs for overclocking dry.gif as fan control is a mission with the 4800 series. Besides the fan issues I'm even more excited to see what 4-way Crossfire can do with...
