Re: Games that never die

Installed and played SimCity 3000 and 4 Deluxe edition and I've been playing them on and off for about 2 months now, too bad there aren't city builders like SimCity 4 today. Cities XL just doesn't feel the same, different build style, zoning, that trading thing etc.

Re: How the PC is making consoles look out of date

i think thats where motion based controls are going to be better than a keyboard and mouse for the console user. Move is a step in the right direction I think, providing more accuracy than thumb sticks can. More buttons would be nice too. Not so sure about Kinect. This. But Kinect needs a lot more ...

Re: How the PC is making consoles look out of date

Imagine a world where your publisher and developer only streams video. No more need a geforce GTX9870ti quad sli to run a game. The downside is you need a stable, unshaped, uncapped internet for full 1080p 3d stream (24mb I think). So which way is gaming going? The publisher/developer or online dis...

Still gonna be some time until the dx11 patch is released, but it should be before Crytech releases the cryengine 3 sdk to the public.

Bulletstorm is really good. The gameplay is really fast, and the engine also feels crisp (no mouse lag). First time i saw it was on duty calls lol

Re: Step aside crytech, unreal is here.

I read an article about the same demo elseware, they say Epic games used 3 GTX580's in SLI to render this demo  and it will only be implemented in a few years when mainstream GPUs have that power

3. Battlefield (1942 + 2)

Re: Steam success holding up Half-Life development?

Valve please release Episode 3! My guess is that they are designing a new engine for episode 3, because the source engine is lagging behind the latest engines like CryEngine3, Frostbite 2 and Unreal Engine (with the updates they are planning). Half Life 2 is my favourite game of all time, and I've b...

Re: Portal 2

Finished Portal 2 a few days ago. There is a required 268MB download in steam before you can play (Why?). The singleplayer is just as short as the first, it took me 4 and a half hours from start to finish. I'm waiting for one of my friends to get Portal 2 as well, so that we can play co-op :) . Must...

Re: Disappointing games of 2011

Another +1 for Homefront. The game was overhyped, with too much marketing and advertisements. The singleplayer campaign is way too short, finished it in 4 hours, and the combat feels too much like COD (running on a predatermined path, shooting down enemies that pops up). On a lighter note though, th...

Re: Minecraft.

It's quite hard finding wolves. I played for about two hours just walking around (and mining/building of course) looking for one. Then when i got out of one of my mines, I ran right into one, was startled and killed it by accident. Back to square 1 again...
