I made a post +- 3weeks ago with the exact same problem. My setup is very close to yours. What solved my problem was to update the bios. As simple as that. Remember to go to the South African Asus website in order to get the correct BIOS version for your MOBO.

Got the BX2450 24". Boy o BOY. what a beuaaaaat. Uge difference from my old 8ms Gigabyte screen. Games even run smoother at higher res.

Problem solved. Updated BIOS to version 1204. Cold boot error NO-MORE. That seems to be it for now. Just hope the voltage issue of sata 2-5 don't screw around on my MOBO.

May I say that I loved my Pentium 120. With a simple jumper setting I boosted that thing to 166. Man that was amazing- to me that is.

OH! I forgot to ask. Please excuse my terms and termanonogy - I know not what to cal so bare with me. From what I read the 1156 CPU's are locked at 1333, therefore buying faster ram kinda defeats the object and could be considered a waist of money. Any way of unlocking to ultilise faster memory?
