There are reviews of some gaming laptops in July issue. Would it be possible to let me know who the agent/s in South Africa is?
Many thanks

Re: I think a baseball bat would help
...and how does that make you feel.... "Well doctor, I think I need a reality check and more Prozac and some Viagra, to have at least one up in life" How does it make me feel? If 7-11 is open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, why are there locks on the doors? Why do they sterilize the need...

Re: I think a baseball bat would help
Religion ends and philosophy begins, just as alchemy ends and chemistry begins, and astrology ends and astronomy begins, then jokes aside and insults prevail. Your Highness, I have no need of this hypothesis, you bore me. You laugh at me because I am different, but I laugh at you because you are all...

WHOOOO! U guys take life far to serious. Jeepers - Seems as though some people just don't have a sense of humour. Sorry for trying to put a smile on your miserable faces. Just the "NOOB" way of things I suppose. Always trying to see the funny side in life, try to enlighten your day, but yo...

Re: I think a baseball bat would help
Here is my solution. 1: Go to Gumtree 2: Search for one of these okes who sell pirate software. 3: Ask them for a copy of a Winxp SP3 jobbieeeez with all that amazing add-ons and extra drivers. (Love to know how they manage to do that?) 4: Install 5: If it works then your problam is solved. 6: If it...

Would anybody know where I could get software wich is capable of tracking the origin of a website?
Crysis 2
Sorry if posted in the wrong area but I want to complain. Damn game is full of buggzzzzzzzzzzzzz. My biggest problem is that I get kicked from the servers after a few rounds of play. Will Crysis ever fix this problem? Certainly not a server issue, as mycrysis.com is full of similar complaints. Jeeee...

Re: BFBC2 - Online
my 4mb clocks in at a steady 100-110 I find this rather strange! You should be averaging 20 - 50 ping with a 4mb line. Who is your ISP? Any processes running in the background? Updates... anything? 100 - 110 just to high! Just for the record - I started playing BC2 2 months ago and I personally fee...

Re: New Rig Boot Issue
My problem was intermittent. Sometimes it would do what yours do, other times it would get to the post and restart continiously without getting any further. Whenever it did the latter I did the following: Go into my BIOS and set the defualt setting and then back to what it should be, i.e., Raid acti...

Re: New Rig Boot Issue
I made a post +- 3weeks ago with the exact same problem. My setup is very close to yours. What solved my problem was to update the bios. As simple as that. Remember to go to the South African Asus website in order to get the correct BIOS version for your MOBO.
Enjoy that rig, very nice

Steam yet again
I am totally new to Steam therefore the following “stupid” question/s. First of all – How does steam work once a game has been bought and installed. Can I obtain a hardcopy of the game? If I format my HDD, how do I back my game up – meaning do I have to re-install from steam using my CAP? Is there a...

Re: Cold boot error
Problem solved. Updated BIOS to version 1204. Cold boot error NO-MORE. That seems to be it for now. Just hope the voltage issue of sata 2-5 don't screw around on my MOBO.

Re: Cold boot error
Any suggestion on where to get the latest BIOS version? Your nearest BP service station... or if you have any sense, follow Lancelot's link :P Just make very sure you are getting the correct BIOS for your mobo, because there are several variants of that P8P67 board, and the one he linked to is the ...

Cold boot error
Recently baught a new i7 rig with an Asus P8P67 MOBO. Take note - This BIOS version 0402 is flawed and the cause of many headaches. Seems as though majority of people complain about a similar problem. What happens is this: The PC would run 100% as long as I want it to. When starting up after a shutd...

Uncapped from Telkom
Anybody got any idea if Telkom would ever change their attitude with regards to uncapped, shaped or unshaped accounts similar to what several ISP's already have on offer. And what is happening with the P2P issues between Telkom and certain ISP's? B.T.W. It certainly is not as if Telkom does not have...

Thanks again for great help.
One question!!! What MOBO would you guys recomend for the 1155 CPU. Seems as though you guys have convinced me go for the newer generation CPu's.
Thanks again.

Re: i7 upgrade
Thanks a mill for the speedy response. This will be a gaming rig and I would prefer to get something that'll last at least 2 years before considering to upgrade. I am prepared to fork out quite a bit. Any advise as to which online retailer I can try? As a matter of interest - What is the speed diffe...

Re: i7 upgrade
OH! I forgot to ask. Please excuse my terms and termanonogy - I know not what to cal so bare with me. From what I read the 1156 CPU's are locked at 1333, therefore buying faster ram kinda defeats the object and could be considered a waist of money. Any way of unlocking to ultilise faster memory?
