Re: Humidty and Paper Jams.
use the better quality paper, you won't be saving anything if you have lotts of paper jams wich can lead to even
more costier repairs if a piece of paper gets stuck where it's not suppose to.

Re: VMware
OK. lets agree to disagree because this can go on forever.
Re: VMware
I think it's wrong in saying virtual box is better than vmware, we use vmware at high profile customers hosting 100's of servers,
virtual box is ok for a one man installs and running a few vm's but it does not scale data centres like esx.

Re: Cisco Lab
@Nuke where did u buy your equipment? how much did you pay?
i saw at Blindhog you can actually setup a lab with vmware and use softphones still looking into it.
Would be nice to have a physical lab but cisco stuff is expensive.

Re: VMware
I have to agree vmware is ahead in the race where virtulization is concerned, nontheless it's personal prefrence what ever you can make work for your problem should be the solution you must use.
IMHO XenServer is not bad either.

might have put that the wrong way both certs are good in theire own right. I think it also depends on the environment you work in MS or Cisco.

Re: Your IT qualification
CCNA does require some experience, but you can still pass by doing labs and using sims ...
Nevertheless there is no substitute for some realworld hands on experience.
Also if u plan on CCNA becuase you want to get into networking don't do MCSE.

I agree unless you are a service provider dont worry about it just yet, IPV6 is being used already for a while now in countries like Japan.
Re: VMware
Hi
WMware Workstation is good i also used it to practise AD stuff for my MCSE and it's free.
You can also download a free copy of VMware Hypervisor ESXi 4 for free but you need a dedicated machine for it
with lots of ram and atleast a xeon CPU.

what type of scanners are you using, on the Datalogic Skorpio scanners there is an app that can do that.
it's been awhile since a last worked with them but im sure you can lock your screen down to one app and disabled start menu.

Re: Printer Reporting Software
Hi Papercut looks like a good solution to your problem. I just glanced over the doc's and as my understanding that papercut actually looks at the print queue. you can go the SNMP route if you need to interface directly with the printer but that would be much more involved as you looking for easy set...
