Hmmm...I just typed a post and then my damn ADSL disconnected and now I have to rewrite the whole thing...<sigh> K...well...I've been thinking. Perhaps if I can find someone who has the exact same HDD (but one that seized) I can replace the whole cercuit board. Might be a bit safer thatn soldering. ...

thnx 4 the ideas, but I'll have to look for a new chip first because it chipped though the width of the chip and I'm not to sure that even a steady solder can fix that. So yeh...thnx guys & keep up the posts! c",)
