Re: What does DNS - > Reload from master do ?
if i run nslookup and use the master's hostname it "hops" via the local one and shows the master's hostname and IP. But this doesnt mean it queried the master it found the masters name in the local DNS cache. I'm starting to think something on our firewall changed. Is there a utility i can...

Re: What does DNS - > Reload from master do ?
I think when i reload its reloading from its own cache, but when loading from its master it cant for some reason. I just dont know why it goes "Offline" when it cant load from the Master. It should just carry on serving from its local cache. also it does not log anything into the event vie...

Re: Kill a SQL database lock
Thanks will check it out.
Unfortunately for me this system supports other SQL systems as well so it does not use any Stored Procedures.
And wont be able to change any Queries to use NOLOCK.

Re: Kill a SQL database lock

Also have in mind that when windows autorun has been turned off it cant infect or protect it self on the USB stick Autorun viruses dont always come from the stick it comes from the PC side aswell, infecting all drives. also be aware that BES doesn't plug neatly into NTLM, so you're going to have to have static passwords for any account added to the service.. or you get to enjoy resetting locked accounts a little more than is strictly enjoyable... I prefer this cus , I have set our ad to use Max password age of 14...
