Too many files open for sharing
Hi Guys So I'm having this issue at work and I have not yet been able to find a fix other than to re-image the machines. We have a novell network with each user assigned their own workspace(a folder on the network to save their data). Some users however, are experiencing trouble creating folders in ...
Re: Windows 8
I'm using it on my pc at work because I couldn't get it to work on my machine at home and I wasnt keen on the whole virtual machine idea(thanks anyway). I will admit its a bit of a learning curve but that's precisely why I wanted to load it so that I can get used to the interface. I will reserve jud...
Re: Windows 8
I tried to install the 64bit consumer preview in a dual boot with win7 on my machine but it got to a point where it gave an error "setup could not configure windows to work on this hardware". I tried again and it failed a second time saying something like "windows could not complete t...

Re: Anyone going sandy bridge?
Ok, so I have a burning question. I bought my CPU in Jan already and then heard about the Intel issues so waited until this past week to get the motherboard. Had some hair raising moments in-between but, the less said the better. So now I have the following; i5 2500k 4GB Ripjaws DDR3 1600MHz Asus P8...

Re: Anyone going sandy bridge?
wow I havent posted here in ages. For what its worth I bought me an i5-2500k. I'm quite keen on it since the reviews suggest its pretty much only beaten out by the i7-2600k right now. Just saving up a bit more to buy my motherboard. hopefully get it next month. My machine is in dire need of upgrade....

Re: The Official Android Thread, V2.0
hmmm wow you guys seem to know quite a bit so I thought I'd ask here, I read above that death strike had trouble with Android on a WinMo device and well I was considering converting my SE X1 onto Android. Just a simple question then, is this a good idea or not? Also what are the chances someone can ...

GT240 vs 9800GT
Hi Guys, Can the hardware guru's please help me here. I've been out of the game for a while now. I have a colleague that wants to buy an upgrade gfx card for roughly R1000. He's been given the two options in the thread topic and has asked me which of the two is better. Can anyone help him decide? I'...

Re: ADSL and Faxing!!
Thanks for the quick response! I was kinda hoping for a sending service as well. What good is it to receive faxes? I seldom need to receive (or send) faxes, but I hate the hassle of having to find a store that will send faxes. I just figured it would be a natural progression of the technology to be ...

Re: ADSL and Faxing!!
Hey Guys/Gals So sorry to revive such an old thread but I figured its better than creating a new one. My question is related to internet faxing on ADSL. I dont have a 56k modem and so I was wondering is it even possible via a software application to send faxes without additional hardware? So basical...

Re: XP trouble booting up
I suspect that you have a dodgy PSU. Based on your comment about removing power from it and ever since then having the trouble. By the sounds of it the mainboard is having difficulty picking up the hard drive. I have had a similar problem. The drive does have power but possibly not quite enough to r...

Re: Agents for Legend Memory
I should just mention that its not my PC i.e check my sig for my specs. However, it is a PC I'm helping someone else out with. The machine is running atm with a 128mb stick in it but (as I'm sure you will agree) it would be better if I could get the faulty 256mb swapped and run the machine on 384mb ...

Agents for Legend Memory
As the topic says, does anyone know who the agents are in SA for legend memory products? I have a stick of 256mb pc133 memory thats gone belly up and I'm pretty sure its covered by a lifetime warranty. Only thing is I dont know where it was bought and I dont have a receipt.
