Re: Game Development

I'm still using version 2.49. What version are you using? The reason I ask is because Blender 2.5's Alpha 2 is now available and I hear it has a new layout. I also hear that quite a bit has changed. Dunno if is wise switching to 2.5 now as it still might have a few bugs.

Lol at that image! That's a bad mistake. How could you miss that?

I think when the Google OS is finished everyone who uses Google will know. Should be quite an interesting OS.

Re: Software / Freeware for creating a flash website

If you are okay with spending a little money use Joomla with a flash theme. Using a CMS is much easier and more efficient (Opinion).

Re: Game Development

Blender is great. However keep in my that it is challenging. You will have to go through quite a bit of tutorials before you will be able to create a game character. You will also have to animate the models. First use a model from the game engine you are using as a starting point to see how it needs...

Re: Game Development

Good idea. I recommend using Megabyet if you want a free webhost. Looking forward to see what you have been up to. I have just finished my first complete platformer mini-game using Unity.

Re: win7 boot and shut down times

MSE is very popular and it's good. I personally use Avast at the moment, but I might change to MSE in the future. I just have no need to change my PC security right now. I guess it's good you did a re-installation. After a format and clean Windows installation a PC is always really fast if you look ...

Re: win7 boot and shut down times

Did you format your HDD?

You could have saved the updates as Windows stores downloaded updates in C:\WINDOWS\SoftwareDistribution\Downloads. There is also a built-in-tool that you can use.

Anyway, good luck with Windows.

Re: win7 boot and shut down times

reinstall windows. Ouch! :D Uninstall AVG and download and install Avast (30mb). It can detect infections a lot better than AVG. Also, press control+alt+delete and go your task manager -> Process. Check if any strange process are running and also note how much CPU and memory they are using. If ther...

Re: Game Development

Cause the stuff I want to do requires the pro version... I assume you need the fast asset set loading features and perhaps more network functionality. If you have tried the free version and you're comfortable with the interface, Unity Pro should be right for you. I'm still kinda new to Unity, but I...

Re: Game Development

There are 2 versions. The free version is good enough to create a good 2D/3D game, but the Pro version has a lot of cool (extra) features. When you download the free version, you get a trial of 30 days to use the Pro version.

I don't believe in things such as "the best anti-virus program". I do like Avast a lot.
