so-what ur sayin ina nutshell :
get the new battery ,but only use it when mobile.(+let it run flat properly+then charge full+rinse + repeat...)
use the old battery when plugged into mains.
mines an older acer - so i guess itl b older type battery
sounds simple(better safe than sorry)

Hi all I was told this today + i struggle to believe it : If u leave your laptop plugged into mains indefinately (by that i mean all day at the office + sumtimes overnite) it ruins the battery life. try this - in disk management : right-click on the area next to where the partition normally shows (yes - where it shows the drive letters + name) do u get an "initialize disk" or "activate disk" option (if u do select yes + next ,next,next) now u should be able to partition etc....

I know this is a bit silly... but it sounds like hardware failure to me - if the fan wont spin even after u try to force it with software... take the PC back to where u bought it and get them to replace the grafix card....the fan is obviously faulty Stop cutting holes into things- FFS - U probably h...

cheers recently i discovered an AV called IObit360 - its not so great for viruses - but it is pretty good with rouge/spyware and the nice thing about it is that u install it on your PC -then u can generate a portable version directly from the apps tools menu so basically - u just update it on ur pc ...

i got the same reply from intel about this problem yesterday.(3 days after PC FORMAT FORUMS)
the verdict is in : PC FORMAT is better than INTEL for product support!!

paying for anti virus is like paying the car-guard in the parkinglot yes-u think he's looking after your car - but when you get to it + it has a ding/scratch is he gonna pay to get it fixed? i dont think so... have u never had a file on your flashdisk that u couldnt delete? (u r 1 of the luky 1's) most recently - a virus called "sudbina.exe" comes to mind. none on the AV apps found / even recognised it as a virus(even when scanning the specific virus files)(IN all fairness - they did get rid of ...
