Re: Gauteng (GFIP) Trolls
Just finished having lunch with our company's "high and mighty" (and I work for a BIG car company) and all the directors are discussing what the e-tags look like since no-one has bought one... so far in our company that is about 30 people standing up against extortion

Also featured on Gizmodo... seems that (for now) we might be able to look forward to buying it... and after connecting the Kinect, put a box over the stupid thing

Re: Multiple Hard Drives
Wow, I love the way the enclosure looks... and that will definitely help if I run out of physical space to put the hard drives in the PC box. And there is the added bonus of not having to worry about license reset problems :D Thank you guys. I will look at both options, as well as the corresponding ...

Re: Multiple Hard Drives
I have got an Asus P7P550 with 6 SATA 3's (if I am reading correctly) (info here). It seems that I might have some PCI slots available when having a quick look at my device manager.

Re: Multiple Hard Drives
So, excuse my noobness here (hardware is my weak point), you just chuck this card onto the motherboard and it expands the number of slots that is available to connect hard drives to?

Multiple Hard Drives
I have this problem that I seem to be collecting hard drives - the 3.5" type. There is currently 3 in the box, possibly soon to be joined by a fourth. I had 2 initially, but then my one external hard drive had a power failure, so I moved it to the box. It seems now that my other external hard d...

Re: Downloading EBooks - how does one know if it is legal?
Not really that difficult. You can even 'shop' through Calibre for both free and paid books. It's got a built in browser that you use to search for books all the various online sellers - and I can keep track of which books I've read or want to read. EDIT: Except Kalahari's ebook store - which is a r...

Re: Downloading EBooks - how does one know if it is legal?
I'm not sure - I hardly notice it as I use the Kindle (blasphemous I know!) Reader app on both my phone, pc and tablet, since I can sync all my bookmarks, etc. And to read DRM free books (from gutenberg.org among others) on the Kindle app, I use Calibre to convert files to Mobi. I use SugarSync to s...

That's a good question - maybe look on the site if they have a policy regarding copyright?

Re: Mozilla announces Firefox long-term release
Try using the Add-on Compatibility Reporter (here). It's more for beta testers. It disables FF for checking if the add-on is compatible with the new version.
Downside, if it's not compatible, you find out the hard way when it just refuses to work the way it is meant to.

Re: Steam Specials!
Okay, just found this site in one of my weekly mailers Shockedfish , where you can compare game prices and make sure that Steam's specials are really really special. It does a price comparison between various gaming sites for games. So if you missed a special on Steam, you can always check to see if...
