Re: Graphics artifacts and BSOD

So did you find the problem with the HD4850, and did you try improving the cooling?? Yes and yes, checked cooling and added a little extra thermal paste to the GPU. Was running cool before and is running cooler now so I doubt that would be causing it. The longer I use it the worse it gets and now i...

Re: Graphics artifacts and BSOD

LOL :) Humble apologies :) I did not intentionally mean to "that" anybody. But thanks again, I was hoping that I would get overwhelming responses that it was something other than my GPU causing issues. The reason being is that the new i5 2500K is actaully my girlfriends new PC and she was ...

Re: Graphics artifacts and BSOD

Good Morning First I must thank you all for the responses to my woeful dilemma. I tried a number of things to bring the GPU back from the dead last night but so far it will not work in the new i5 rig. Swapping it out with my own personal GTX460 resolves all problems and gets a whopping 22770 3d Mark...

Re: Voltage Woes

I think the reset is just to help ensure a successful flash, but your system is working so I guess that is not the problem. :? I have heard of sensors stop working before and being cited as a hardware fault. Maybe your sensors are simply broken? I'm guessing that's the case because I don't seem to ...

Re: Voltage Woes

Have you tried updating the BIOS? Remember to reset it to standard settings before updating. Oops, Forgot to mention that :) I've recently updated the BIOS but I can't recall resetting beforehand... Would this be a problem? I think the settings were pretty standard though - no OC or anyting. Anothe...

Re: Frontpage website administration (IIS6)

@ Prime The problem seems to be that the username should be linked to the site and no amount of recreating, resetting or starting from scratch will let a user log into a site that has a URL other than http://%localhost% The previous system is running a different OS and on it's last 0.5 of a leg. I'v...

I've got a few days off in the week before Christmas but I have to attend a wedding. Other than that I'm working or c...

Frontpage website administration (IIS6)

Please could somebody help!? I'm busy configuring a new IIS web-hosting server that must support Frontpage enabled sites. I now have two servers configured with variations of the same problem: I can't access the Frontpage administration page for an individual site. It asks for a password. (Yes I've ...

Re: English Spam Thread and General Rubbish

LOL @ Prime,

That's a lot of HDD space! I wish I had half that much to lose in the first place!

And who in their right mind has a spare 1TB drive lying around the house to backup too?

Honestly...

Maybe they will let you have a loan drive  They do that when I service my car.
