Re: E8400 or Q9650
Hey,
I just read some articles and they say that the Q9400 is also really good for gaming and video and photo editing.. Is this true? How much slower that the Q9550 is it?

Re: E8400 or Q9650
And I can get the Q9550 for R3200, maybe I should get the Q9550 and do some over clocking and get it it Q9650 stock speeds, cause I would not have overclocked the Q9650 anyway and the price difference is R1000..

Ok, but I am going to buy from rectron I think so I should maybe just wait a while.Mow wrote:Landmark has already dropped their online price from R10 641 to R 4 400. Wont get any lower than that. Also , better hurry the 9650 is being discontinued at the end of the month.

Re: E8400 or Q9650
Ok, how long will I have to wait for the price on the Q9650 cuts? Cause Intel cut it by 40% in the recent cut.

E8400 or Q9650
Hi,
I am wondering if I should get the E8400 now, or should I wait for the prices to drop on the Q9650? Keeping in mind that with both I will probably be upgrading in 2 years..
I will be gaming most of the time and will be editing pics on Photoshop CS3.
All opinions appreciated.

Overclocking a Pentium 4?
Hi,
My old system has a Pentium 4 CPU, I am thinking of overclocking it with a P5Q mobo. Any idea what speed I will get with it and what cooler I will need?
Thanks

Re: Q8200
Sorry I double posted!
Re: Q8200
I can also get products from Rectron so it would be cheaper than retail
Re: Q8200
I have about R5200 to spend on a new CPU, MOBO, and PSU. The Q9550 is R3100, an I am stuck on the PSU and MOBO. The CPU does not have to be the Q9550, but must last about 2 years before needing an upgrade..
Re: Q8200
Ok, what motherboard should I get, I have R1700 for a MOBO?
Re: Q8200
Ok, and will I have to higher the FSB higher than 1600Mhz? (sorry I am not a overclocker!!) and how much more power will it consume overclocked?
Re: Q8200
Ok..But I am thinking of getting the Q9650, but if I overclock the Q8200 will I get the same performance as the Q9650? If you are aiming for affordability + great performance and overclockability, get Q9450. It's got the same cache levels as the Q9650, but with lower clock speeds. You should be abl...
