Re: 2 PSU's at rAge?
I feel the same way, my PSU is strugling with my phenom and 8800gt (it's only 500W) So every bit helps me as well :) Mine will be powering 3hdds 5 fans and a bunch of leds wich will total up to around 40~50W average, so that extra 40W will keep my main PSU cooler or give a little more headroom for o...

Re: 2 PSU's at rAge?
I also have dual power supplies, check my project thread. Mine only uses one female connector to power both so they won't even know I have two PSUs
how is your PSUs setup? do they both power everything or does the one power this and the other that?

Re: AMD vs. Intel
Does anyone know what amds production capacity is and how much of that capacity it is using?
if it is something like 99% they can just make the price higher and not really worry whether theirs is better than intels, just as long as all the cpus they make can be sold...

Re: My turn
Can you download rivatuner and use it's hardware monitoring to see your gpus temp?
it may be the heatsink of the gpu that's not properly seated.

Re: My turn
It can be a program with a memory leak which is slowly filling up your ram and leaving nothing for the game. That or overheating. Touch your graphics card and feel how warm it is, if it is hot most probably a overheating problem. Use rivatuner to see your cards temp. The game won't freeze completely...

Lan house, gaming cafe
We are starting a small lan house (internet cafe with games) and just wanted to know if there isn't a license or something just for lan houses so that we don't have to buy a single game for every PC?
And what's your views on lan houses?

Re: Snake case (First)
So, we started building our cases. It didn't go bad so far, especially with the time we have available. I'll upload some pics soon. I changed my design on the last minute, my case is now a U shape. The base plate and the two sides is a single piece wich is just bended. Doesn't look to bad, just warp...

Re: Snake case (First)
Got the plexiglass today at maizeys plastics in witbank today, they asked around R600 (can't remember the exact price since I bought other stuff as well) per 3mm thick unclear(frosted/sandblasted look) sheet. They didn't have clear plexiglas so I had to buy that frosted look sheets aswell, so my cas...

Re: Torrent on local cap
Yip, that's how it works
XGB int = x*10GB local
but you have to use your international first to get access to the local cap.
I buy 2 accounts use the one up quick on rare international stuff and then use routesentry to split the two so that I can use both at the same time...

Re: Hydra Engine
They(ATI) can't do object division parallelization techniques which is probably the best and most linear method for parallelization. All which the hydra engine (the chip itself) does is physically split the data, catch card-driver specific info (to fool the drivers probably), do some information gat...

Hydra Engine
Since no one really talked about it here I'll start: The Hydra engine actually looks very promising in with the fact that they have(implementing) a new image parallelization technology which unlike sli and crossfire won't send the same data to the cards and then just tell them to render different pa...

2 hours drive for sheet (plexiglas sheet , I crack myself up sometimes )
So is that expensive or around the normal price? I'll have to go drive and get it so if it is just R100 more expensive it doesn't matter. (petrol price)

Re: Snake case (First)
Does anybody know the average price for plexiglass?
At mica they charge R1600 for clear plexiglass for a normal 1.5 m* 1m sheet. Is that how much it costs?
