Actually I do have another request:
Can there be a button to remove myself from the forum? As in delete all my posts since 2002 up until today? I really don't feel like looking at kiddie remarks from admins anymore.
Cheers,
Samaya

Re: Forum Suggestions and Requests
This forum feels too closed down - too compacted. You have to look for everything. It is a typical problem with most programmers, They think that they have created the BEST, most user friendly piece of software known to mankind and aliendom. I think some people call it a god complex. So when people ...

Re: Forum Suggestions and Requests
Besides, for those who want to see the most recent topics, we already have a) active topics, which I thoughtfully split into various categories, and b) RSS feeds. If people can't be bothered to use existing functionality, I can't be bothered to entertain requests for new stuff which does essentiall...

Re: Forum Suggestions and Requests
Thats just the point. I don't want to click a link to go. I just want to open the forum, view the posts, see if there is anything interesting and move on if I want to. We had a latest post column on the left way back when I joined the forum and it worked great then.

Re: Forum Suggestions and Requests
How about a "latest post" panel/frame/whatever you call it. Right on the main page and right on top. It makes it easier to avoid the spammers and you can also see what is happening on the forum. It also makes it easier than to look through all the directories as it is now

Re: Modding electronics
You have difficult questions on a monday morning. I don't think you would be able to use the terminal program like that. But try and see what happens. Otherwise get yourself Docklight ( http://www.docklight.de ). IT IS FANTASTIC. You monitor your serie port and on certain marked strings you can have...

Re: Mecha project - Got a whole bunch of connectors
I finally had time to work on my mod again. I managed to finish the other half of the top side. And I also found a way to cut these thick sheets with a Jigsaw. Just add oil to the blade and keep it smooth. So after all the rough cutting, I started filing the panel. This took very nearly forever http...

Which Anti-Virus?
I had problems these last couple of weeks with virusses and so on getting through Avast AV. I have looked at, but didn't like Microsoft Security essentials, and previously used AVG. So now I want to get a better AV like Kaspersky or Norton or NOD32 (I will be paying this time... twice it would seem)...

Re: Need some modding advice
Unfortunately I have no hand-on experience with welding. I had my frame for Mecha welded at a engineering shop. You'll need to speak with people who work with this type thing. All I can add is that the guy that welded my frame used a Tig welder to do it.
