sabc is starting broadcasting digital from next year and then there is a fazing out period of about 3 years so that the people who still own the old tvs to buy a converter wich is rumerd to cost R800 to scale from hd down to 800 by 600 for the normal tube tvs

Compro VideoMate Vista E600F PCI Express TV Tuner w/FM + Remote is the best bang for buck at the moment and recomend it a qiuck google and the best price on compro products is from Sybaritic
The E900F is realy good but a bit pricy

The compro cards good and I would recomend windows 7 as your OS it does not need a monster machine to run and the new windows media centre in it is realy great

I couldn't get the Huawei E220 to work, though I didn't try installing from the CD. It doesn't know anything about my HTC TyTn 2, and Activesync won't install from the CD, so I'm not too sure what to do about that. I'll have to check for a Vista version I guess. So far this is the most stable and reliable beta that I have ever tested, its just mind blowing to test a BETA and not have 1 BSOD so far.
Have been runing it for a week now and the only problem was to get my Huawei E220 vodafone modem to work witch I finaly got right.

It even got a SAS - Serial attached SCSI controler only problem is the HDD surporting SAS aint cheap looking at about $248.95 (R2200) and that is only for 73GB of storage space on the Seagate 73GB 16MB SAS 15000RPM [ST373455SS]
