Re: MemTest error
Corsair sent me a message saying that I should RMA the modules so thats what I'll do. And just as I thought things were looking up... my GFX card decides to give up on me... what are the odds of that? I just sent Asus a mail as well as I already know that computersonly, only give a 1 year warranty o...

Re: MemTest error
Could be a timing settings in your BIOS. But if you got the error twice after getting your entire system back and they couldn't pick it up after 3 days then I find it hard to believe they were testing it. I've been going to the shop for years and know the guys that work there so I know that they di...

MemTest error
PC Specs are in my signiture. I decided to upgrade my PC in February. I upgraded the motherboard, CPU and RAM. For the first month I didn't really have any problems. Then at the end of march I started getting more and more BSOD events while playing games, watching videos, browsing on chrome, booting...

Re: Computer keeps freezing
Doubt it. Though I'm not sure. That motherboard was still one of the first AM2 motherboards that came out if I remember correctly.

Re: Computer keeps freezing
No. It didn't kill the CPU, but since the Mobo needs to be replaced we might as well switch over to Intel seeing as that CPU sucks pretty badly these days.

Re: Computer keeps freezing
Turns out the it was the fan on the north bridge that died, so it turn the north bridge fried and thus the motherboard and cpu needs to be replaced. Thx for the troubleshooting anyway.

Re: Computer keeps freezing
Unplugged the 40gb secondary HDD and it still freezes. I really can't think that its the power supply as it has been running fine for a long time. I switched it out with the PSU om my mothers PC (same PSU) and it still continues to freeze.

Computer keeps freezing
My sister's PC keeps freezing. Sometimes it freezes as early as the 3d card boot info. Other times it gets to loading windows and sometimes it freezes while working on the PC.
Most likely I'm guessing that it's the primary HDD that is failing. I'd just like to hear what some other people think.

Re: Fate stay night Ultimate blade works
Watched it last night. Even though I played the game this was really confusing. Personally I think they should have made the movie 30 minutes longer so things made more sense or broken it up into 2 movies. The skips between events are just so big that if you didn't play the game most people will get...

Re: Getting a CPU Cooler
My i7 on the intel stock cooler never goes over 60C. Its 34C atm with no load but its usually at 44-48C when loaded though I have seen a 60C on one record. I use CPUID Hardware monitor btw. Then your a lot luckier than I am. Mine idels in the 50's as far as I can remember and under load over 70. Cl...

Re: Getting a CPU Cooler
V8 is old news dude, try going for the V10, imma get me one of those   WAYYYYY over budget. It's more than double the price of the V8! Not going a cent over R600. I've seen some reviews about the V8 and it looks pretty good, but I would like to hear from some people who have real wo...

Getting a CPU Cooler
Hi guys. I've recently started testing my CPU a bit and monitoring its temps. I want to overclock it a bit but from the tests I've seen CPU already reaches 72c when under load (and thats while it wasn't even on the stress test for long so I believe it will go even higher). On Intel's site the max ra...

Re: GTX 470 and GTX 480 release date
Sigh... Just found out that they can't replace my Gtx275 and it will be aprox 2 months before the GTX470 gets to SA.... Now I'm forced to buy the Asus 5850HD. I would rather have bought a Nvidia card but so be it. Can't live without gaming for 2 months. Going to pick up the card now. Hoping for the ...

Re: GTX 470 and GTX 480 release date
I agree with that. ATI's got a long way to go in order to win the 3d card war. And just so you know, the Nvidia 3xx series are lower end 3d cards as far as I can see from their site for laptops, etc. The new cards have been called the Nvidia 4xx series. Can't wait to see what they can do. I should f...

Re: GTX 470 and GTX 480 release date

Re: GTX 470 and GTX 480 release date
It depends on shipping time and customs and excess. 2 weeks to 2 months probably till local release. but do yourself a favour and wait a bit longer until the price falls, the availability goes up and the drivers are sorted. Recent events have proved Nvidia is not infallible in the drivers departmen...

GTX 470 and GTX 480 release date
Hi guys. So I know that the release date for the GTX470/480 is the 26th of March (This Friday) but does anyone have any idea when they will be in SA? (a guess from previous nvidia card releases can also be useful). I am waiting for the GTX470 to come out but I have no Idea if it takes 2 weeks or 2 m...

Re: XFX: never again
I have a XFX GTX275 thats also giving me problems. Apparently It's batch of these cards that have overheating problems (My friend also bought one of these and his gave out in about 3 weeks). I bought mine just a little before rAge and I have been having overheating problems with the card since end D...
