I bought a Microsoft Sidewinder X6 keyboard in November 2011 and after three months all the most frequently used keys the letters rubbed off leaving just red dots and although the keyboard carries a 12 month guarantee the place where i purchased it from would not swap it out( BT Games) so i contacte...

Re: Gaming Keyboards

BT games have the X6 on special for R399. Can't beat that price for what you are getting. Excellent build quality and the backlit keys are awesome for those late night/early moring gaming sessions. @animal where did you read about the special on the X6,I went to BT Games in Centurion and Pretoria t...

Re: nno longer buying the mag

@ Jonboy, one of the ways magazines learn about some of our views about the mag is when we complain. It is of the utmost importance to any publication, to know what their readers want, even if, due to sales and various other reasons, they cannot provide the content some readers would like to see. I...

Re: Gaming Keyboards

The X4/X6 is the business. I am searching for a keyboard that has backlit keys for me to use in fairly dim conditions. It need not be a gaming keyboard although I do a bit of gaming and as, don't laugh, it must not be too expensive as I have a parrot that is rather partial to keyboards. Was looking ...

Re: Blueray player versus Playstation 3

a standalone or internal is a far better approach than a pointless piece of outdated console kit... my standalone connects wirelessly and alerts with OS/firmware updates, plays music/movies/pictures and connects seamlessly with my htpc... i fail to see why i would need that extraneous excuse for an ...

Re: Blueray player versus Playstation 3

So a console with no immediate replacement in sight which consists of a locked in set of hardware is better? If you cant see several obvious reasons why a PC loses to a PS3 as your primary blu-ray player and vicariously as a part of your home theater/entertainment setup then please sit quietly in t...

Re: Blueray player versus Playstation 3

It's still a brilliant media hub - streaming, Vidzone, iplayer, music visualisers, photo viewer - all for free, as well as the video store and.... erm... Blu-Ray ! So don't you guys think the PlayStation will be a better proposition for the lounge and then a blue ray recorder for the PC in your Stud...

Re: Blueray player versus Playstation 3

If new features and capabilities are released then a device like the PS3 would be able to make use of them, whereas an older BD player wouldn't. A perfect example of this is 3D content, which can be played by a PS3, but not all BD players as far as I know. That was my exact thoughts as well when sp...

Re: Blueray player versus Playstation 3

The function that especial grabs my attention is the capability of having to be able to download firmware updates, witch makes it more future proof than a standalone player and also the capability to upgrade the hard drive to a bigger size should the need arise.

Blueray player versus Playstation 3

I have been sitting on my PC the whole day already researching this subject and have got nowhere as there are so many for and just as many against. The the best thing going for the PlayStation is the ability to download new firmware, that stand alone blue-ray players do not have, and also the built-...

This is definitely related.
I did google this subject and apparently there are thousands of people all over the world having similar problems but I cannot anywhere find advice of how to fix it on the net.
