Re: Valve asserts that piracy is about convenience
I fail to see how piracy is more convenient than Steam specials and how a game without all the extra bells and whistles that you usually get (achievements, ranked matches / matchmaking, access to DLC, etc) is better than the legal version. The sad thing is I actually know some people who flat...

Watching that movie was painful. It was kinda like Warriors Way: artistic but lacked any real depth, emotion and oh ya story!Mystical_Titan wrote:Really enjoyed Rango!

Re: Anti-Virus for 2011
Sorry, had to put my jeanpants on for that to make sense. Most if not all anti-virus apps have mail scanning software that does this Is that a guess or a fact? Because MSE and AvastFree don't do it. Also, I don't understand your jeanpant comment. Maybe I need one hand full of curried rice to get it...

Yeah, was awesome, but Tangled is too much brilliant! Would have loved to see that in 3D. I'll shyly admit that I've seen this movie more than once on the big screen and it was amazing everytime I watched it. 3D is definitely a must for this movie, the lantern scene is especially spectacular when s...

Re: The Movie Thread
I watched Tangled again this weekend gone past, man I love that movie, possibly the best Disney movie made to date and the first one to wrench a tear out of me. It's also Disney's 50th Animated feature so I'm really glad it was as good as it is.

Here is a list of portable AV apps you can download and run from a flash drive or as a stand alone to a normal AV, there is even a free product you can try from Kaspersky which would be my first stop. You should also use that method of creating a dummy file on your flash drive first to prevent it fr...

Re: How Broken is Game Journalism?
A good reviewer will point out the good and the bad. This allows readers the opportunity to make an informed decision. If I tell you that the control system is terrible but the visual aspects of the game are excellent and the plot is amazing then you can decide to overcome the annoying control sche...

I too am not one for reading reviews simply because of one simple fact: what I like may not be the same as what the person reviewing the game likes, try as they might to remain 100% objectionable it just will never happen. For those of you who don't know Valve is making Dota 2 , now I love Dota and ...

Mike try this program to store the stream in an MKV container. With the extension being h264 you'd think the stream would be a normal MPEG4 Part 10 (aka AVC) based file, meaning it should be playable with ffdshow codecs. If you use media info to open the file what info does it yield?

Re: Anti-Virus for 2011
I'd recommend AVG, or Comodo for the slightly interested, and MSE for the net plodders who couldn't be bothered. Recommending products like that is the quickest way to ruin any credibility you may have amongst the users here and show just how little you actually know about computers. AVG, as rustyp...

I finished Tomb Raider Anniversary & Underworld over the weekend (last weekend ) and thoroughly enjoyed every minute of it. I swear CD taking over the TR franchise was the best thing ever. I can't wait to see what they do with the reboot that is coming out next year.

Re: Diablo 3 Official!!!
The trailer itself is too big. I wonder what went wrong with the encoding because Starcraft 2s trailer was 1080p and smaller. They used MPEG2 instead of an MPEG4 based codec: General Complete name : D:\Downloads\Video\Blizzard\Demon_Hunter_ENUS.mpg Format : MPEG-PS File size : 460 MiB Duration : 3m...

Ok for those of you who don't want to download the massive 461MB version of the trailer but still want to see it in HD, I've re-encoded the movie using H264 & AAC. The only difference now is that it is 350MB smaller. :) You can grab it from any one of these links: http://hotfile.com/dl/78368530/...

I got that the other night, it is quite tricky, have you got Vikings yet? As well as the command centre upgrade that gives you access to M.U.L.Es? What I did was to use Tychus to decimate the base straight in front of him, but only focus on unit producing structures and the missile turrets. Then wor...
