In which way doesn't it work? Because the game is supported by Xfire:

Re: 1st South African Fleet / Official ST:O thread

Hi Sorry to sound like a noob, but how do you capture a screenshot? thx The best way to capture screenies when it comes to games would be to create a free Xfire profile , install the client then use Scroll Lock + S to take a screenshot when you're in the game. After you exit the game you will be pr...

What exactly did they offer you? I'm guessing you traded in a CRT? Any idea what they would offer for a 19" CRT that's in excellent condition? :?

Re: Latest Purchases Thread

Bought for myself some decent tools for fixing a PC; so I finally have a nice long Phillips screwdriver as well as a set of hex nut drivers (although I only needed the 5mm one), those nut drivers are great for securing those nuts that a motherboard fits onto in a case. :)

What about the rest of us 384 and 512 users? Yeah, I was just thinking that as well? Why do they keep testing faster lines yet no one on the slower lines have been upgraded to the faster speeds like they originally said they were going to do? I'm still running 384k for over a year now, and the news...

Re: Local Steam content server coming to WebAfrica!

No, your theory is correct. The size it displays when you start the installation is how much hard drive space you will need for the installed game and should not be taken as an indication of how big the actual download is. Yep, but sometimes the download is really close to the specified space requi...

Re: Local Steam content server coming to WebAfrica!

Yeah. A server would be great right about now. I just bought all the Company Of Heroes games on Steam for $12, but it's a 9GB download... I did the exact same thing. LOL. dying to play but without the local server it will never happen. I don't know how but after leaving this game to download over j...

Re: Dungeon Keeper 3 might become reality ( finaly ;)

Anything with a good memory to you and mixed with EA is like getting loved tenderly in a back alley. That is so true. It's also the reason why we got BioShock instead of System Shock 3. Not that BioShock is bad, but I'm a long time fan of SS and was hoping and praying for a sequel, not a spi...

I never really came across Torchlight until yesterday. Unfortunately with my 3G internet it would be too expensive to buy online, but am quite excited for the boxed version due in January. Hope it's better than Titan Quest though, that came went nowhere. WOT? :D The skill trees were brillia...

Re: Bioshock installation: disabling the auto patcher

This is rather strange, I don't remember needing to update my game to play. I just installed, activated, cancelled the auto-patcher and played. :?

However, I got tired of needing my game disc to play, so I "patched" my game with a NoCD patch.

You should know by now that every ETA a store has for a Blizzard game is nothing more than their best guess.

If you buy the game on Steam then yes, as far as I know the retail version doesn't make use of Steamworks. Though I stand to be corrected.

Did anyone like the music used in the HL games, I know there wasn't much but I liked how they played up-tempo music during really adrenaline filled parts of the game. :)

The UDK is pretty amazing - I'm starting to get the hang of the more advanced features now, and it has soooo much potential to do something completely mindblowingly awesome... Like make a remake of System Shock 2 on it? :? :) But I know that would never be possible due to the IP belonging to EA, cu...

Yeah, I think I know which mission you're talking about; Is it the one where you have the option to use a tiberium weapon?

Otherwise fully promoted units are awesome as they start to self heal then. :)

Re: Unreal Engine 3 is now free to use!

I'm guessing the standard, commercial license doesn't lay claim to 25% of all profits, after the first $5000... Eitherway, given how many companies are neglecting their modding communities, it's a really awesome thing to do. So now Epic Games can rank up there with Valve in terms of modding support...
