Re: Consoles Are Holding PC Games Back

Tedious? actually the exact same models are used with the exact same software, and 3D max as such is old news, there has been a recent shift over to Softimage XSI. If you had any idea of how modeling actually work you would not make statements like that.Generally speaking models start out on a high...

Re: What game are you currently playing?

Just started playing OBLIVION ,I finished both Fallout 3 and Fallout New Vegas and noticed that Oblivion is developed by the same people who did Fallout, hope it is as awesome as Fallout... I'm sure if you enjoyed the one, you'll enjoy the other. Fallout 3 is a Micheal Bay inspired reskin of Oblivi...

Re: Consoles Are Holding PC Games Back

Anakha56... I have to agree. Consoles are non-upgradable platforms with fixed hardware. Yes it is easier to code for them and design models and environments which will run on them optimally as you know what is in the damn thing. But that being said the tech in a PS3 is about 3-4 years old already. ...

Re: Why are game so expensive to develop

Bear in mind that you aren't going to have a handful of coders, and one or two artists. You'll have at least 20+ artists dedicated to modeling pot plants, and other minor props. And each one of them will be pulling a fairly decent salary.

Re: The XBOX 360 Thread

Yeah, serious. The best price I could find for a super elite bundle was R3899 - on special. You can get a PS3 for R3799 from Take2. Like I said, all that's special about the super elite is it comes with a bigger hdd, one extra wireless controller, and a certain AAA game. I've seen it bundled with Mo...

Sure thing. You get the satisfaction of knowing you payed more than you would for a PS3 - for a 250GB hdd, 2 wireless controllers and a bundled game.

Re: What game are you currently playing?

Well that depends. The game is pretty wicked, you just have to make it through the tutorial which centers around you preforming chores for your family. Because prancing around on rooftops trying to find feathers for your developmentally challenged brother, and beating up your sisters boyfriend for c...

Re: Guitar Hero (World Tour)

now im looking to get a second guitar for a true band play! lols. I think you might have to buy a slightly less plastic guitar for that... I've played it before, in all honesty the only time I enjoyed it was near the end of a pre-drink session, and that had more to do with laughing at those spazzin...

And there you have it, anything with "twilight" in it's name is destined for failure. Are there sparkly vampires in this one too? http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/8/83/Cc4tt-cover.jpg Nope, just a sparkly kane. This could very well have something to do with the low user ratings. E...

Re: What game are you currently playing?

Dunno, I find the missions can be a little tedious at times, but all in all I enjoy the game-play more than fallouts. For some reason fallout just didn't work for me. The sluggish game mechanics didn't help, but I can't put my finger on it.

I'm kinda enjoying borderlands, both SP and Co-Op. Leveling just that much easier/sweeter co-op though.

Re: Final Fantasy 13 - Your thoughts

I'm a bit peeved with the art direction. One of the things I loved about FF7 and 8 (only ones I played) was whole modern, dystropian world with mythical tie-ins. This one's all techy, and over the top with it. I mean, Shiva turns into a goddamn harley.

I couldn't agree with you more. ****, I'm doing just fine in a pretty gnarly degree. Thing is, I don't not study because I can't concentrate, or because I'm lazy. I'm not a lazy person. Best way to describe it on a chemical level, once again. Dopamine is behind motivation, reinforcement and is heavi...

Re: Discussion: Legalizing cannabis

Hah, reminds me of something I heard not so long ago. Apparently, much to the horror of an Australian tourist, SA doesn't really actively enforce those kinda things. Not long in the country, she was driven past some random savagely penetrating a donkey on the side of the road. Friendly guy and all, ...

The thing is when you take that shot of heroin/cocaine its almost pure, 50-100% depending on your dealer, and it will take quite a bit to kill you. If you take an almost pure shot of alcohol, you will be dead. Haha, that made me smile. I get what your saying, it's just your 'facts' are a little off...

Re: Far Cry 3

Yeah, the stealth was weird. Seem to remember that the dart rifle and silenced pistol where the best for stealth kills. Sneak in, headshot someone while no-one else was looking or too close, and it was chilled. Miss though, and every NPC in a mile radius will try and drive a Jeep into your face. The...
