Re: How to use blackberry as a HSDPA modem

Well you could "tether" (that's also the app's name IIRC) it, possibly. But I think the service providers have protected themselves against it. Tether is the function, BDM creates the tether, but it still uses internet and not BIS as tether dials the *99# number for dialing the connection...

Re: SSD Optimizations: Do you need to?

I've searched for ramdrive utilities but I can't find anything that supports a 64-bit OS. I guess this is because 64-bit is pass the 4gb limit. 32-bit OS ramdrive utilities are plentiful though. There you can throw everything over 4gb to a ramdrive. My young friend, you need to enhance your google ...

Re: How to use blackberry as a HSDPA modem

Plug it in, desktop software will do the rest. I would suggest getting a data bunle else you will pay the R2 per mb. Its physically imposible and against the terms and conditions to use BIS in any way other than for on device browsing. The moment you dial up from the pc the handset itself bypasses B...

Re: SSD Optimizations: Do you need to?

Well... - no page file - no indexing - no superfetch - defrag disabled by default thats pretty much it. Nothing more needs to be done imo. Actually one more thing you can do is setup a ram drive, if you have enough, many feee apps available to do it. Normally 1gb should be fine, once setup you make...

Re: Re: Writer wont burn more than 1 DVD

1. Have you tried different speed settings at which you write? What does your writable media support? 2. Have you tried using another media brand, like Verbatim? 3. Does the writing process require an image file to be created on a hard drive? 4. Does this happen for standard data, movies, mp3s, aud...

Re: Writer wont burn more than 1 DVD

Try standing barefoot in a bucket of ice water while drinking chunky sour milk through a straw and dancing the Macarena to Justin Bieber Music without moving your feet. FTFY @OP: What do you mean by "Resetting the drive?" Best term i could think of, it will write one dvd and then stop, to...

Writer wont burn more than 1 DVD

Really odd problem, my writer will only burn 1 dvd before i have to either swap its port or uninstall and re-install it which essentially boils down tot he same thing. Happened like 2 months ago and i just assumed it was the drive, being old and having already started being a bit fussy, 2 days ago i...

Re: Re:

OK. I officially hate Internet Explorer. Here's my problem. I'm trying to use a transparent image on a slightly dark background. Unfortunately, said image has anti-aliasing. You can save it as a GIF, but GIF only lets one colour be the transparency, so the lighter bits end up looking hideous on a d...

Re: MSI 890FXA-GD70 Turbo Core 1075T Fail

Is turbo core suppose to be the overclock feature for AMD? Yes it's the equivalent of Intel's Turbo Boost. @Cranial. I would not worry too much about Turbo Core. TC is so sporadic in the sense that it only makes a slight difference to apps and games that does not utilize the CPU that much. So why n...

Just so you know that online calculator is extremely inaccurate. A friend has an odin which shows you current and peak usage in its lil software app with his config the online thing said he needed 393w of his 800w PSU, according to his PSU he's peek usage wat at 603w, personally for my money that is...

MSI 890FXA-GD70 Turbo Core 1075T Fail

I bought the 1075T with the MSI board int he title and am as of yet unable to sucessfully enable Turbo Core. I was told the correct way was to disable Cool n Quiet and Enable Turbo Core, this prevents my system from posting, and i have to reset the BIOS to get back in. Same result if CnC is on. No m...

Thanks to virgin mobile, my mother after 30 impeccable years has a tarnished credit record. Aprox. 10 months ago, against my recommendation, my mother signed a contract with virgin mobile. The very same day 1 of the hundreds of idiots in that company processed a buy out request on the same contract,...

Re: CPU or Core Temps

IcePick88 are you stoned off your balls or something? The most important part of a CPU is the cores ergo the temps of said cores are what you need to worry about. I suspect you have never killed a CPU before? I have. tested temp tolerances on an E8600. at 4.8ghz running P95 it was alive till 110deg...

Re: CPU or Core Temps

Check your heatsink is on properly and definately hook it up with some decent thermal compound. Beyond that, it's entirely possible you have a faulty sensor on your board or processor. My Q9300 is like that. I just set the sink on this evening, i know its on properly and i use Zalman STG1. I just r...
